Is there any penalty this D won't commit?
    1. Multiple DPI
    2. Multiple Defensive Holding
    3. Roughing the passer
    4. Horse collar out of bounds
Exceptional defense....horrible lack of discipline! Typical Tomlin!

Not to mention missing the fumble prior to Denver's first FG and blows the one challenge he did make.

I will take the win. This was definitely one that should not have been as close as it was.

I’ll say this, the DPIs and roughing the passer calls were debatable. I saw the same muggings of our WRs and they were not called

We loose a game like this and it’s “Tomlin loses to inferior teams”

We win and it’s still not good enough.

If you can't see that lack of discipline is a problem you are making sure to ignore it. If the D is that undisciplined against an above average team....we lose.

Not so much lack of discipline, but individual mistakes at crucial times. I felt like we were getting ready to step on their throats. Then Snell fumbled.

    No preseason.

    Expect slop until mid October.

The refs were horrible and one sided.

    Take the win.

The Broncos made good adjustments to mitigate the pass rush later in the game. After that, they starting slicing us up with Driskel. I dunno if the defense just kinda mailed it in or what.. but that looked like a really bad defense at the end, thank God no one blocked Edmunds on that last Brocnos series. On the offenseive side of the ball, the Steelers just don't have an identity right now. They need to feed JuJu, DJ, and Claypool. Very hard to watch. They might as well just throw it 40-50 times a game

I see a team that did not have a preseason still trying to get a groove. A lot of the calls were BS..but you are going to have that. Had a short week, still shaking off the rust. Work..of course, but damn we are 2-0 and an opportunity to go 3-0 at home. I do not think you will see what this team is really about till week 4, getting these wins is cushion we need, but hardly an indication of what this team will be.

You are expecting perfection. Good luck with that. The Steelers found ways to make enough plays to win the game today. Be happy about today and not speculate about what's to come.

I’m not really concerned with all that. Or at least I’m not going to get worked up about it when we win.
God forbid the game comes down to the wire and we squeak out a win.

I'm not a person who has an inferiority complex who’s ego can’t handle anything less than total domination and perfection from the Steelers.

Minkah's horse collar was idiotic, that will be called 100% of the time.

Yeah, the officiating was rather questionable but I just hate to see the stupid penalties like the late hit by Hilton on Driscoll to extend the drive and the horse collar by Fitz.

Offense was terrible in the 2nd half. Denver had many more injuries and players out than we did. Defense in the middle is highly vulnerable. Fant owned the Steelers D today...and a backup QB shredded the secondary.

    Same sh!t, different year.

the only way these people will ever stop complaining is if we score touchdowns on every single possession, never allow a score, and never commit a penalty.

Not every defense is playing sloppy football. We have almost identical personnel from last year's team. This defense has 0 excuse for sloppy play. I don't accept any excuses for our "superbowl caliber" defense looking JV at times.

    Hey Steelrules.

I am not typically one of those the refs this and that type of fan. However, if I recall correctly, I believe it was Hilton who got called on a Roughing the Passer call, I believe it was in the early part of the first quarter. I was reminded again of the ticky-tacky BS league this has become. You almost hold your breath on every passing down that is defended; anticipating the flag coming out for PI. Then there are some WRs motioning the flag throwing gesture which seems quite often, to me, to influence the refs to throw it. It is just unbearable to watch at times. Just "Disgusting" as I say around here.

The penalties we committed seemed mostly earned. Would like a breakdown on how many were fair. The refs gave us back one garbage PI.

Defensive PI on 3rd down is almost like a turnover (unless it stopped a probable 1st down completion). We seemed to have bad timing on top of quantity. Like turnovers, they can change the outcome of a game. Today they just made the game closer instead of an outright loss.

And that backup QB lost the game when Edmunds sacked him on 4th down
