I am sure he got the memo but was too busy unleashing hell somewhere to actually read it!

Yes he mucked up. But if we had to rely on Ulysees Gilbert and Anthony McFarland, both inactive, anytime during that game we have a bigger problem to worry about.

It's a little thing in retrospect but, It's these number of " little " things, oh ho hum things that keep adding up and haven't gotten us to where we want to get...

You can keep fluffing it off as nothing but ( and I hate to do this ) Belichick is meticulous over every little detail and he has SIX rings to show for it!

I thought on more than a few times we had more talent than them...But it's **** like this...That people say, " ohhhhhh, It's not that big a deal " But then when you look, We've underachieved for ten years! Imo

3 playoff wins since losing to GB in the Super Bowl 10 years ago.

One handed to us on a platter by Cincy thuggery. We lose that same game 99/100 times.

Dolphins at home with Matt Moore at QB

At KC which although a good quality road W it was against Alex Smith not Mahomes

    Another small mistake ...

One day these will outweigh the positives he brings to the organization and then :emperor:.

That's classic Tomlin, no attention to detail.

TOMLIN thinks his impressive use of a thesaurus can fool us all. I want to believe most of us are on to the fraud he is but who knows. They have a good roster this year although after 1 game the line is already decimated. I’m pulling for him to prove me wrong. Time will tell.

How much does the position of "Official Tomlin Apologist" pay?

On it's own, I am not too wigged out about this. However, it's just one more thing in a long line of things that Tomlin has methodically failed to do to have the team ready to kick ass and take names.

We got lucky this time because it was the Giants and it was MNF and Tomlin has a reputation to uphold with his MNF record.

Let's see if the team is prepared for the Broncos.

I'm not weighing in on this debate but I just wondered about if this was just Tomlin's mistake. I looked at the list of inactives for Sunday and there were some teams that clearly had six inactive rather than five. I don't have the time to look into each one to see if they genuinely had six injuries, but it seems suspect that a lot had five and a lot had six, given Tomlin spoke about waiting for clarification.

    Just interested I guess.

Has Tomlin ever taken responsibility for:

    1. Perennial slow starts
    2. Failing to deliver while possessing extreme talent
    3. Countless locker room **** shows
    4. Countless cancers growing unchecked
    5. Dependable losses against certain opponents
    6. Poor clock management
    7. Poor challenge management
    8. Weak finishes with the playoffs on the line
But hey, it's all good cause he took responsibility for something that didn't matter;)

I'm clearly in a pedantic mood in this thread, but I'm not sure you can call them "countless." Like, they're fairly countable.

In terms of cancers growing, I'd say we had AB. Bell did most of his morphing while he was sitting out. I could be missing some more obvious ones, as I'm low on caffeine. Blount maybe? But then he was let go pretty quick.

I can't argue too strongly but I view it slightly different.
    1. AB was bad enough even if there was nothing else.
    2. Bell, while he did it differently, his BS was allowed to grow and effect the team.
    3. Bryant was another poorly handled mess.
    4. Blount, while short lived, didn't do Bell or anyone else any favors.
Maybe we should just never acquire anyone with a B in their name?

Or maybe Tomlin could run a little tighter ship?:this!::cool: I know it's not the 70's but there are a few coaches who have figured out how to win while being a disciplinarian, Tomlin is the players buddy, and that is a recipe for under-achievement......which is exactly what we've had under Tomlin.
