Pretty much summed it all up.

Only thing I would add to the ugly is Heyward. I just don't remember seeing him do anything. I may have missed him taking on blockers for others to get pressure though, so I am happy to be corrected if I am wrong.

2008 NFL season was the most enjoyable season ever in my life. Every game, even the loses other than one were exciting. One of the all time great seasons.

The loss that pissed me off the most that season was the one against the Colts

Losing to Peyton and Eli didn't bother me. The loss to Philly was bad.

Yea the Eli game bugged me too.. 2 losses at home that shouldn't have happened. Was the eagles game the game where Ben got sacked like 11 times or something?

Keep in mind those Philly Defenses of the mid 2000s were no joke. That Philly team did make it to the Conference Championship Game the same. Trent Cole, Darren Howars, Akerman Jordan, Asante Samuel and Brian Dawkins.

That was some serious firepower on defense.

What? Barkley had a total of 6 yards tonight. You think he didn't have a hand in opening up lanes for Bush and Williams? Williams was practically sleeping in Barkley's lap all night.

    The Questionable
Why is Derek Watt with the team?

Yeah, I guess. Kind of fell into his lap though, but still, he caught it.
Guess I just didn't see him doing anything at all. But we did shut down Barkley, so I guess he did his part. Kind of an underrated part I guess. Guess I have to take it back and cut him some slack. Our Dline was disruptive all game long

As I was watching I was thinking similar to you - where are Heyward and Tuitt? But then considering how much the o-line was collapsing, you figure they were playing their role pretty well.

Can we mention in the "good" Alualu?

In the bad: Connor left with an injury but he looked off from the start. I wonder how much they knew about before the start of the game.

In the ugly: while not as slow a start as I pessimistically expected, it took a while for the focus to kick in.

In the good, again: this team looks like it's on a mission.

    Good:
Run Defense...shut down Barkley outside of one long screen pass

Snell...ran inside and outside the tackles With success

Wide Receivers...is it crazy to suggest this group might be the best Collective WR group in Steelers history?

Dupree...played like a man on fire

    Bad:
Nelson had a bad game, really his first that I can remember since coming here. Hopefully it’s not a trend.

    D. Johnson...terrible first half that could have cost the team against a greater opponent. He still carries the ball like a loaf of bread in the open field.

Bos...missed PAT and kickoff out of bounds. Clean it up!

    Ugly
OL Injuries...very nervous that this could be the year the Steelers have both the D and offensive position players to contend but are done in by a mediocre, patchwork line

I live in Eagle country and I remember going into work after we won the SB and all they kept telling me was their team beat us and destroyed Ben. My reply was simple 5 to 0:)

    of course it's 6-1 now.

Good: Victory!!!! Devon Bush seemed decent. Still think he is going to get a lot better.

Bad: Conner, still needs another chance IMO

    Ugly: Injuries of course

And Barkley averaged less than 1 yard a carry, so credit has to start with the d-line. Of course the Giants O-line was suspect.
