He knows the defence and can play SS or FS if needed, he is a good bit better than what they had behind the existing starters. That was one of the glaring weaknesses on the roster. I don’t hate this at all if the money is right.

He's better than Riley and knows the defense better. Makes sense to me.

Better backup than what he had.

Yeah, we had done nothing in the offseason to address safety depth. I think it’s a pretty important signing though. I was absolutely not a fan of him as a starter, but as a backup who can play both safety spots I think he brings value.

I like this signing. In all honesty he may be as good or better than Edmunds.

They needed the depth and he knows the system. Would have preferred Clinton-Dix but Davis is probably cheaper.

The thing about Davis is Washington isn't a good team, and they didn't even keep him for depth, but as a backup it's good depth I guess. I read that Curtis Riley is going to be signed to the practice squad.

Davis is fine as a backup. He is an improvement over Riley.

this is good news, Washington is not a good place to play at the moment, kind of a dumpster fire, bring Davis back for depth (he is still very young and still learning) and put Riley on the practice squad, i like it

This year, more than any other year, familiarity is an important factor for teams making personnel decisions.

Yup. It was truly one of the dumbest unforced errors by a Steeler in recent memory. His incredibly stupid mistake cost them that game, and they make the playoffs if they hold on to win that night.

I normally don't love assuming victories in any situation, but that should have been a devastating interception. That touchdown capped an 88-yard drive that took up most of the third quarter. If the Chargers get nothing, the Steelers likely take a 23-7 lead into the fourth quarter.

That said, I will still take him as their top backup safety over what they had.
