I thought this was a given? Or are teams going to try and allow a certain amount and spread them way out in the stands?

That's what I don't get, isn't it better to have 25% of the fans spread out in the stadium better then no fans at all. They could all wear masks and still have social distances at the refreshment stands, along with entering and existing the stadium.

You still have the issue that the Governor has set limits on the size of gatherings. 25% of Heinz Field is about 15,000 people - much bigger than Gov allows. Unless, of course, you're gathering to support some political cause the Gov supports or are a large contributor sponsoring a large outdoor car show. Then you're ok.

Can the Rooneys and Jeff Laurie browbeat Gov Wolfe into giving them an exemption? Maybe.

Such BS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IMO the leaders of this country don't have a clue what to do and I totally understand that. So much I'm seeing makes absolutely no sense. I'm under the opinion that now this is all because of the lawyers. 5-10 years from now you'll see ads on TV that if your loved one got corona due to such and such not following guide lines then baby let's sue. Hell I used that weed killer for years that I now see causes some type of cancer and should I get a cancer I can just call that lawyer. I just want to know how the hell anybody could prove they used it???

NFL without the fans going crazy in the stands just seems wrong. And let's face it, just one racial incident and they will be walking off the field.

The band Yes said it best, "silly human race".

I'm curious to see how teams react to actual live game situations. Baseball is somewhat more cerebral and while the environment can affect it to a degree but not much. Hockey was horrible. The Pens feed off their fans and just seemed lifeless. So what will the Steelers who get pumped by the crowd do with out that crowd. Will it seem like a real game or scrimmage?

Sidenote if the Seahawks don't have fans we will finally have proof of their created fan environment.

    I agree 100%.

I’m of the belief that most activities can be returned to fully if wearing masks. Especially if spread out.

Maybe I'm unaware but I can't think of any that are. At least not in NHL, NBA, MLB.

Well I'm not gonna get into that debate if NASCAR is actually a sport lol. But I guess in terms of just humans on a playing surface I can't think of any.

Honestly, If Covid is as deadly as the media and politicians project it to be I should be dead 70 times over by now. This whole thing is blown way out of proportion IMO. Sad thing is so many people, myself included, have been affected financially and emotionally beyond belief.

Not to hijack the thread... but the last handful of laps of that race were tense and exciting as hell. I’m not a NASCAR fan, but it was fun watching the aggressiveness of the drivers when it was all on the line. Too bad about the crashes though.

More on topic - 20,000 people in an outdoor venue that seats 100k doesn’t seem terribly unsafe to me if people spread out and show concern for other people’s’ health.

They looked to be grouped together tighter than I thought they would.
I pretty much watch every NASCAR race. Very exciting stuff. Been to a few races and it’s a big party in the campgrounds around the tracks.

So who exactly is making the calls for this?

Steelers said they wanted fans in the stands all year. I think Eagles announced they weren't having any fans in stands at all this year?

What has changed? Is this coming down from the commish or PA Government, or is this just the Steelers making the call on their own?

my wife works in a large hospital and has to wear the bubble outfit dealing with covid patients. you would not say the things you are saying if you were to watch a person die alone without their family with them. you basically drown in you own fluids and there is nothing that can be done. people are so weak that they only think about themselves and do not consider the real suffering that is going on. it’s funny to wat h Fox news complain that it’s not dangerous while they are all at home in private studios. one of the pillars of fascism is money over lives.

Sorry, not changing my stance on my opinion that THIS pandemic is blown way out of proportion.

Did it ever occur to you that the reason the numbers aren't as high as they could be is because of the protective measures? Nah can't be that.
