In waiting to see if spillane gets some reps as well. He was brought up when UG3 went down last year and played some good STs.

There will be coverage of the Steelers practice on Saturday at 6:00 EST on Steelers.com, I want them to show something besides the team stretching .

More from Kaboly. Ben is on fire, throwing darts all over the place. Bens elbow has likely been the culprit the last couple years with his head scratching throws sometimes.

Switz looks like he has the inside track on the last WR spot over Cain.

Ebron is going to have a huge season I predict.

Gilbert still looking good, having a good camp.

Rudolph still having trouble with accuracy even after working with a throwing guru in the offseason.

I wish there was more coverage on camp. A lot of the SNR people don’t have many specific things to say about what is happening out there. It’s like they were given a mandate not to talk.

That SATURDAY night extravaganza was a horrible event. Advertised as a sneak peak into camp...will be on TV. INTERNET RADIO....The Steelers will be in game day uniforms....LIVE FROM HEINZ FIELD!

What they should have said.... is see less of the practice than you saw during the week ... and watch as Bob Pompeani and Charlie Batch sit in an empty Heinz field and talk about football like you and your friends!

Those are the rules, they can't show much or the media they let in they can't report everything they see.

    Another update from Kaboly.

I like the way Tomlin is running camp, not shying away from tackling which not all teams are doing.

Washington had a nice day, if he builds on last year, this could be a real good unit.

Snell ripped off a run for 25 yards and then stiff armed Minka to the face and they got into it a little bit. Benny, I like ya but don’t hurt Minka!

Yeah but some things aren't giving anything away... like Backs on Backers... they pulled the cameras just as the drill was getting started?

I've watched the Camp coverage a couple times on SNR and all I have seen so far is stretching.

If this was a game day Sunday a bunch of teams would have been screwed. Monday someone would have said “oops”.

People in labs are going to be able to change the outcomes of games. Oh never mind, who would care about the outcome of an NFL game?

Bookies the world over have got to be sweating bullets over this. A hundred to one shot to cover the spread could drop to 2 to 1 if the lab screws up the tests.

Yeah that coverage on Saturday was disappointing, I thought they would show more, it was a waste of time watching it.

And fortunately bookies are fine upstanding individuals and would never try to influence someone working at a lab. ;)

Perhaps, but based on how earlier discussions on Covid have gone off the rails on this board when we’ve gone beyond talking about football, we should probably not go there.

Apparently Diontae Johnson has missed 5 days with a lower leg injury. No specifics as the Steelers don’t have to give any yet.

Any word on Zack Gentry...Is it to early to call him a bust? He was intriguing from a size/ speed standpoint but, Bringing Ebron in...I haven't heard a word about him?

I'd assume he is TE3 again this year and probably a scratch on game day if Chuks wins the RT spot and Banner is the tackle eligible king again. He gets one more year to watch and learn and add some muscle so that when Vance is let go next year he can play thd second spot with improved blocking.

Been seeing a lot of glowing reports on OLB Highsmith but not much on Ola and Skipper. But then again, it could just be that the reporters are not asking about the other two when questioning Tomlin/Butler. Either way that's a great sign so far. With as much as Watt and Dupree stay on the field, its not a pressing need but I'd still like to see who comes out on top for the #3 spot. Good camp battle between those 3 I bet.

Heard that too. It would be very positive if that pair can contribute in 2020.

Great to hear Highsmith is hitting the ground running. All they need from him year one is to give Watt and Dupree a breather now and again and not be a liability.

I saw just one play of him it was bad, he ran a good route then dropped the pass, haven't heard much else about him.

Kaboly is reporting that his blocking is much improved and he looks to be in better shape. He was always a bit of a project and won’t see snaps in the passing game anyway with McDonald and Ebron ahead of him. If he can come in as a blocking TE in certain packages and not be a liability that would be fine imo.

Unfortunately, I don't think we can assume that McDonald won't miss any time due to injury. Gentry is just one play away from seeing significant playing time.
