Even if TJ has a half the stats he usually puts up..he'll still have better stats than Bosa... Steelers better do right by him..

Bosa gets 5 year deal at 135 mill, 102 mill guaranteed 78 mill at signing, TJ will be lucky to see those kind of numbers here with this broke ass team.....

Watt's future with the team is secure. Barring another major record breaking Defensive deal this season, T.J. Watt is a Steeler for life. Very seldom do teams let go talents like T.J.

    Rams - E. Dickerson, J. Bettis
    9ers - Joe Cool, T. Owens
    Seabirds - R. Sherman, ?
    Cardinals - ?

    That's just the NFC west
    7 conferences to go

In Pittsburgh they expect you to take the hometown discount. Even though this isn't his hometown.

Idk. The Steelers have paid some players market price over the years. It's the players that overvalue themselves as opposed to their value they bring to the team that they hold steady on. They did make a mistake with Woodson. Who else wanted to stay but left for more money & had more than 2 years of probowl gumption? The Steelers usually guess right on a players value.

Yeah but Steelers didn’t pay anyone in the 90’s, FA defection galore. It was great drafting that allowed a true next man up in that decade.

Maybe the fans do, but the Rooney's have always paid market price. Ben R. , Alan Faneca, Antonio Brown.

How are they a broke ass team? Everyone has the same salary cap. The Chokers can afford Bosa because they got rid of their franchise QB and don’t have anyone else worth paying

They have to spend a certain amount of their cap also. Didn't want to pay Gordon but Gordon was better off leaving imo.

He probably should have said 'competent teams'.

Alan Faneca left because he wasn't getting paid enough, they didn't offer him market price.

I wouldn't doubt TJ gets around 27M per year. We will give it to him. You pay that guy.

Unfortunately, as I've been saying, we won't have the money necessary to extend JuJu.

Will they do those contracts in the same year? Can they structure Watts contract so that he gets most of his money (guaranteed) after the all in with Ben?

Other than QB, Steelers usually NEVER pay the third contract, hence Alan Faneca moving to the Jets.
