He’s milking it. Not many people get opportunities to make that kind of cash, once he’s done he’s done. I would do the same...

I think thats flu, covid I believe is closer to 4 but don’t feel like looking it up.

We likely won’t know for quite some time what the actual number is.

I looked up the mortality rate for Covid 19 from the CDC some weeks ago. I think it was as of mid May and the rate was 0.4% which I suppose is 4X more deadly than average flu.

We'll never know the actual number because they'll only give us numbers that fit their agenda.

There are all kinds of players out there. This isn't just about the top qbs. Every year guys contemplate retirement or wait one last year. Ramon was a good example. There are players that are healthy athletes but have conditions. The bus had asthma. Ryan Clark couldn't play in Denver if you guys remember. I'm talking guys that are on the verge of retirement anyway and is this enough to sway them in that direction instead of playing one more of two more years. Maybe they have family members with underlying conditions too.

Sorry to disillusion you but the government is not our friend. The govt does not love us. The govt doesn't care about what's best for us. They only care about maintaining their own power. Perhaps thinking otherwise requires a tin foil hat? If so then wear the hat proudly if you wish. People holding different opinions is as American as hotdogs, apple pie, and porn.

The false claim that cases are going up only because testing is going up has been fully and clearly debunked. The number of hospitalizations is going up. That isn't driven by testing. More importantly, the percentage of tests coming back positive is also going up. The number of positive tests is going up because the number of people contracting the virus is going up. It's time people stopped fooling themselves and claiming otherwise.

If anything, the numbers are actually much higher because most of the population still has not been tested.

Yes, the mortality rate is going down. Part of that is because more people who are younger and healthier are getting it. They have a much better chance at survival. Another reason is that deaths lag well behind infections. A spike in infections now wouldn't show up as a spike in deaths now. The deaths would mostly come in three or four weeks. It usually takes time for people to die from COVID.

Back to the Steelers part of this, what Pouncey said is he doesn't want to keep playing after Roethlisberger retires. That doesn't mean he won't retire first. His play declined significantly last season. I could see this being his final year while Roethlisberger plays two more. This is assuming there is even a season this year and that they both play.

I bet he gives it 95% like he usually does. At least until he gets behind, then watch out.

Ding ding ding we have a Winner!

    Right above the crapper

First and foremost the Steelers agreed to give Ben another 40 mill due to the fact at this point they have no replacement yet. Same goes for the one year wonder DE :lolol: getting franchised.

It will take a special QB to knock Big Ben off the starter position, just my opinion. Another injury could be it for him though. Scribe's argument of tag for a year has settled me down about Dupree. Their is still be hope of a trade (doubt it) & he will be our best option if we play.
