I know its good to keep players out as precaution and rest 1 or 2 more weeks, but i say if Troy or Mendy were ok to play yestrday, they should've played.

You can't assume because you're playing a 0-2 team that they will not be needed to win. You're paid to play. I guess I have to belive that both weren't rwady but someting tells me they both couild've played. Not sure about harrison though.

My mother in law has been hammering Troy for the last few years because of him constantly being injured and/or not playing injured.

I used to tell her to shut up and thought she was crazy.

Anymore I think she may be right.

You told your Mother in law to shut up?!?!?! That would guarantee celibacy at my house...

I'm willing to bet he would have played if he was able.

I bet if you did some research you would be surprised how many games Troy has
missed over his career? I am not so sure Troy can make a difference anyways,
I am afraid father time has caught up to Troy very quickly and it is painful to watch.

My thing is, he wouldn't have made a difference anyway. He is not what he use to be. Neither is Harrison.

Okay, maybe I didn't say it. But the look on my face should have surely conveyed it.

I totally concur with this. Troy gets hurt more now because of the style of play and the fact that he is older. Get used to it. He might be able to play 8 games. He will miss and continue to miss a bunch of games because he cannot stay healthy. I would not want him to play hurt either. It is just a fact that his body just cannot do it any longer and sadly, he is not the same player.

Same for Harrison. With Harrison, he got a late start which puts him behind the 8 ball in playing at a high level for years. Again, style of play is the culprit here. Unlike an MLB that basically eats up space in the middle, he is an OLB that is constantly rushing the QB. Just look at Farrior and Foote. Basically injury free over the years. Why? Becasue they play ILB where the stresses are not the same on the body.

Harrison's back, now the knee. These are not good and it will only get worse, not better.

Besides, even with these two, things will not get better. You know the saying about putting lipstick on a pig....
