Drew Bees isn't going to be able to play forever so the Saints need a QB successor to Drew Brees with Teddy Bridgewater moving on to Carolina. it would be an ideal situation for Gordon as he would be able to sit and learn behind one of the greatest to ever play the position.

Edge help is the real final need for this team that stands out which hasn't been filled yet. Alex Okafor has been a nice signing, but he landed on injured reserve and his health isn’t a guarantee going forward. Tanoh Kpassagnon had the athletic ability coming out of college, but he hasn’t had a major impact to this point.

he might not be the flashiest rusher in the class, but Alex Highsmith has the ability to turn the corner and bend around the edge and can win with an inside move as well. he doesn’t have a lot of length, but if he develops his technique he can be an impact player and a starter or at the least a situational pass rusher for the Chiefs.
