Given the serious issues we are all dealing with, and the growing possibility that there could be no Steeler football this fall, I think it would be good for all of us to help each other out by showing how we are all preparing for the worst!

I like it - you're set up either for the long term, or one hell of a morning after.

Trust me, if I drank myself into a coma every day for the next three months I couldn't deplete it all. But then I would have to start the aging process all over!

I still have the chicken wire protecting my tv from last year. Otherwise your accommodations are very satisfactory. Well done in your prep for the apocolypse.

Sheesh, @Stone, your tobacco arsenal is quite healthy!

I can only imagine how many cigars you're hoarding with that setup. :lolol:

I never really have more than 50-80 cigars in my house at any given time (2 small humidors). The budget only allows so much, and, well, I have another vice that takes priority.

    Whiskey:

Actually, I have never smoked anything that I inhale and the occasional pipe or cigar is not too bad for the lungs.....that's my story and I'm sticking to it! And as far as my liver, it is in perfect condition....I trained it well:smiley1:

That is a beautiful thing! As hard as I've tried, I have never acquired a taste for brown liquor.

    Funny story about that.

Last year I got a new VA doc and the VA docs are always nose deep in the computer while talking to you. In my initial consultation with her she asked the obligatory million questions. When it came to "do you drink" I felt she was cool enough to be honest so I confided that I am a binge drinker. When she asked what I meant by that I told her I don't drink a lot at home but when I go on trips with the guys I binge drink. She said "give me an example". So I told her that on those rare occasions (no more than 10 - 12 times per year) it was not unusual for me to drink 36 light beers in a day. Her jaw dropped to the floor and she looked at me like she was sizing me up for a straight jacket, or a date....and she immediately started banging feverishly on the keyboard. Every 30 seconds or so she would go "hmmph" and keep banging away. Eventually, she leaned back and said "well, all of your blood work is perfect and has been for years.....so whatever you're doing, keep it up"

    So......doctor's orders!:drinks:

I never did either and figured I was a lost cause there. Then one day, it just clicked.

Used to work with a old timer bricklayer,Charlie Rock. 90lbs skin and bones, missing teeth drunk but was at work every day. He was out a couple days and when he came back we asked...” Hey Charlie where you been? He said he went to the doctor and after his checkup the doctor obviously noticing he was a drunk said “Charlie you can’t drink anymore “ we said wow Charlie that sucks what did you say. He said ok doc I won’t drink anymore....but I won’t drink any less either.

We were practically on the floor in tears....lol

Lungs are fine and my liver was trained and exercised since high school and it told me it can take it as long as it made me happy.

Similar. My doctor asked and I answered. He gave me the binge drinking lecture. I just stared at him. No change of expression by me. No response by me. He turned around to his computer and said that he was going to put in that his comments were “duly noted” by me.

Then he gave me a recommendation on a lower calorie IPA.

    So......doctor’s orders! :drinks:

If this goes into the NFL season we will be facing anarchy and it won't be pretty.

I even think there will be a shortened MLB season which is wonderful for us Pirate fans, we won't lose 100 games.

One can get about $17.50 for a roll a toilet paper on Amazon. Free market supply & demand at it's finest.
