It was actually closer than I thought. Passed by 60 votes out of around 2000. Well regardless it is what it is, now let the off season NFL be restructured like everything else because of Covid 19.

So cap gurus I am lazy today, with the Cap set at 198.2 where does this leave the team before restructuring and cutting.

Yes, this upcoming season will have 16 games. However the 2 new playoffs teams added starts this coming season.

Whew I was worried there...with that 17th game the Steelers might not make the play off's this year, but with the added team the odds just went up! Ok Ok just kidding, kinda.

Come on Tomlin you can do it! Just one more 8-8 season should nail down that #7 playoff spot.

In five years (or less), the owners will start talking about adding another WC team to the playoffs and an eighteenth regular season game. The highest paid players will b!tch and moan, we'll b!tch and moan. Then the NLFPA will ratify the new deal in 2030. Then, particularly in Pittsburgh where our MLB team is little more than a morbid curiosity, we'll be fired up for another season of Steeler football. Wash, rinse, repeat.

So, I'm assuming the extra week means that the regular season will start one week earlier? And WC weekend will now have three Saturday and three Sunday games? All of this, and they refuse to reduce the preseason by two games, even though the overall revenue will go up? SMFH.

To many numbers floating around. I just checked 'over the cap" and they have the team at 207 mill, top 51 198.9 (this is the number I have heard bantered around), and the team in the read 219 thousand.

This is why I just cannot follow all the cap talk, You say 219 million, this .com say something else, and the article earlies said the new cap total with the 10 million added this year will bring the new cap to around 198 million.

The only positive thing about the new CBA is they can restructure to their hearts content and keep the team in cap hell until the next CBA 11 years from now.

I read elsewhere that approximately 500 players didn't vote at all, which is truly idiotic.

Restructuring contracts keeps us in the red. Looks like we will be needing a rookie olb, a rookie dt, & a few rookie olinemen on their 1st contracts. Then when Ben leaves & Mason is sitting on a xfl bench somewhere we might be able to right the ship.

Ben's only got two years left on his deal. That will make his hit pretty big in '21, if I understand this correctly,

That is correct however it will give us space now so instead of him killing us 2 years it will just be next year. That's the way I look at it...............

If Ben says "no", are you willing to cut him?
