That will not bode well for Pittsburgh if he is not in my opinion. Unless K.J. Hamler can somehow run in the 4.2s, Pittsburgh will not have that home run threat. Big Ben needs that in the worst way.

I'm not sure the Steelers will be interested in Hamler, he's small.

I totally forgot about Isabella after the draft, so I looked up his stats and it wasn't very good. Like 9 rec for 189 yards or thereabouts. I was surprised by the low numbers...only had 1 snap in week 17.

Antonio Golden-Gandy. 6’4”, 220, 22 reps on the bench. May be got in the third or 4th, only because he played at Liberty University.

Lots of people have been talking about him and he had a very nice senior bowl so he opened eyes there. I would be surprised if he lasted to us in the 3rd. jmo

4.6 40. Nothing amazing. I would be really worried about having a chance at him if he went 4.4

Reagor runs a 4.47, not what he wanted. Charlie Casserly hand timed Henry Ruggs at 4.20. Electric time was 4.28.

Looks like he may actually be available. A little disappointing 40 for him but he does play way faster. He also put on 10+ pounds from his playing weight. It takes some time to get used to performing with additional weight. I expect his pro day will be a different story.

he did look a lot thicker than I remember seeing him at TCU, he should slim down a little bit again before his Pro Day.

I believe it was Steve Smith that summed it up best if you get a opportunity to hear what he said. Basically the same thing I did. He said they may have been asked or recommended he come in a little heavier to make up for a lack of height with more bulk. He also said it’s possible that training exclusively for the Combine may have led to a increase in muscle mass. He also said he expected him to drop some water weight for his Pro Day. I wouldn’t let his time deter us from selecting him.

Depending on what we ultimately decide to do with Dupree I wouldn’t be opposed to drafting 2 offensive players with our first 2 picks ,if we tag Dupree. Reagor in the 2nd and Albert O with our comp. With Ben on the mend why not give him 2 new weapons?

Chase Claypool runs 4.42 40-yard dash at 6-foot-4, 238 pounds

Posted by Curtis Crabtree on February 27, 2020

Big, fast players tend to succeed in the NFL. Notre Dame wide receiver Chase Claypool showed he was both Thursday night at the NFL Scouting combine.

Claypool clocked in with a 4.42 40-yard dash time after measuring in at 6-foot-4 and 238 pounds the day before. According to the NFL, only two players at the combine have ever eclipsed a 4.45 40-yard dash time while measuring in at least 6-foot-4 and 235 pounds. Claypool is one. Calvin Johnson is the other.

Claypool is coming off a stellar senior season at Notre Dame. In 13 games for the Irish, Claypool caught 66 passes for 1,037 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Claypool likely isn’t going to crack the top five of the NFL Draft like Johnson did when he was selected with the No. 2 overall pick by the Detroit Lions in 2007. However, it’s obviously rare to match that kind of size and speed at the receiver position. In a deep class of wide receivers, Claypool is a unique combination.

Justin Jefferson made him some $$$ by running a 4.44, he could go late first or early second round. The guy I like for the Steelers Denzel Mims ran a 4.40.
