    I bet the Bengals would trade you Andy Dalton’s salary and production for Ben. Ditto for the Chargers, Lions, and almost any team in the NFL other than the Pats over the course of Ben’s career.
    My point being that all quarterbacks are overpaid in relation to the rest of the team and percentage of salary cap, but only a few win. We have one who won a lot. 2 Super Bowls is a hall of fame career. Heck, to listen to Philip Rovers fans, 0 Super Bowls is hall worthy

    One thing we are overlooking that will skew the money made by NFL players is the rookie contract restrictions. Without it the top drafted QBs would be commanding 30mil plus a year, possible pushing Big Ben to the bottom of the highest paid list. It could also mean without it that Ben would be under contract for even more money.:shrug:

    Sidenote: AB could have made the highest paid list but his mouth works faster than his brain.

    Without Ben, they wouldn't have even been there. Not sure what you are implying with this statement.

    I'm just trying to understand what your point is. You imply that Ben sucked in the 2 SB wins and didn't contribute because he merely "received" the rings but didn't earn them. Using your word here.

    And I wasn't "trolling" or "looking for an argument" just calling you on your bullsh!t. Call it whatever you want.

    My mantra? Please enlighten me on what that is.

    I went back and reread your other posts and my question stills stands. Are you saying that Ben had nothing to do with the 2 SB wins the steelers had while he was on the roster? True, he didn't put up HOF performances in those games, but to act like the team got there and did it all without him and he just showed up to "receive" a ring is beyond asinine. I'm just trying to understand where you are coming from.

    I think it would be interesting to see the cost per SB win by QB?

    So I did some looking: This is one year old info.
    https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/rankings/earnings/quarterback/all-time/

    Brees = $245M per win

    Rodgers = $234M per win

    Flacco = $166M per win

    Eli = $126M per win

    Peyton = $125M per win

    Ben = $116M per win

    Brady = $1.47 per win

    Rivers = Yeah right!

    I’m not.

    After living in Pa in the mid to late 70’s when I was young and became a lifelong Steelers fan, we moved to Michigan. I watched the hapless Lions struggle to be mediocre, and by the way they pay a ton of money to Stafford.
    As a an adult I moved to Atlanta where I watch the hapless Falcons struggle to be consistently mediocre, and by the way, pay a ton of money to Matt Ryan.

    everywhere I have lived in the past 40 years has strengthened my argument that the Steelers lucked out by paying Ben as much as they did compared to the majority of NFL teams that lose and/or pay lots of money to o quarterbacks who don’t win a playoff game, much less 2 Super Bowls.

    It tell us that without a stout D, Ben isn't good enough to win it all. Because that's exactly what he had in 2005 and 2008, top notch defence

    Rivers $218mil to never win one. How much does he play for next year? $22mil to finish the season for Wentz? Chicago looking at him for say $25mil because they have their franchise flop on his rookie deal?

    Ben mops the floor with Brady just never when he plays him. I would be rattled & upset if I looked up & compared their head to head games.
