Julian Good-Jones Iowa St. Another good center/guard/tackle type. Started many at center and many at LT for the cyclones. Nice size and feet. We can definitely add guys beyond the draft that are quite capable. I hope we restock the cupboard.

Many I have been posting and watching have been starting and playing for at least 3-4 years. High football IQs. Mobile, good size, multi position capable. Who knows though? You ride with the most info you can on them. I hope our scouts do. I've always been a pretty good judge of linemen. If munch were here I would feel better but.......:smiley1::cool:

Very true, but I myself if scouting I am looking for that OL
that naturally has a mean streak in him. There out there you just have to find them.

There are a couple this year...Sternburg from Kentucky and Muti from Fresno State and a couple others. Sternburg has been flagged a lot for holding though.

You're looking for a Willie Colon type, I get it.

No more athletic talent than Willie. I would prefer my players have
the same fire, desire, disposition as Greg LLoyd.

I like Ezra Cleveland at OT. Ruiz. Pollard. Good-Jones. Cabral.Garrett. at center/guard. The wolverine that's the forgotten guy Jon Runyan at guard or tackle. Bloodlines. Good- Jones can play any spot as can Cabral.

Cleveland could be had in the 4th most likely. Cabral, Runyan, Good-Jones all could be later. Very deep class this year. Lots of field time for any of these guys.

OT seems deeper this year than most.

Agree on Runyan, especially in the later rounds.

thanks ward. I do loves me the trench warfare. It all starts there. Overlooked by most casual fans. If we lose finney we are in deep chit. Every year we get to our backup center playing. Not too many years ago we went back to back years with our 3rd center having to see the field. We are due to replace pouncey too. Probably won't happen this year but it should. He caused mason heartache. I want some in the pipeline this year so they are ready.

As for Cleveland, he is left tackle capable. Chuks is our only other guy with the feet to play there. Cleveland is a 4+ year starter at that spot.

cabral and good-jones both have a full year in college at LT and 3 at center. Both have high football IQs and good feet.

Don't discount John penisini either at the NT spot for the defense. Another good player flying under the radar for now. He played at Utah. 37 tackles last year. Can move well. 6-2 333. A freak really. Looks built like a rock for that weight. Not fat. I hope our scouts are out west looking.

Tyler Higby from Michigan St. is one of those talented Swiss army knife types as well. Can play any position on the line.

Sorry I am late to this thread turtle. Got an equipment upgrade! Anyway, I do agree that an Interior Offensive Lineman should be selected sooner than later. I still have Ben Bredeson from the University of Michigan as the favorite here.

As much as I would want Lloyd Cushenberry, I imagine his combine performance will catapult him even higher. That said, if that is the case, perhaps other great lineman will fall to us the same. Have not given up on Solomon Kindley.... yet.

Spend the 2nd round pick and get 20 year old CESAR RUIZ, MICHIGAN. Center/Guard

Keep Feiler at RT and let BJ Finney become the starting guard.

Ruiz to eventually replace Pouncey as the next great Steelers Center.

Depot mock today had us taking Ruiz in the 2nd and I agree, that would be a good pick.
