This guy and his list is a joke, he has Bradshaw ranked below Staubach who Bradshaw beat twice. Mahomes wins one SB and now he's #3 .

Roethlisberger would need to be in the top 5 for the game against Arizona and dead last for the game against Seattle.

Which is now another reason why the word “elite” and Roethlisberger should never be in the same sentence.

Are the rankings based on performance in the actual Super Bowl, or career?

Simms was a “good enough” QB in his career, but he was near perfect in XXI.

Eli Manning likewise - so-so career, excellent in the super Bowl.

But I don’t think Unitas was great in the Super Bowls. Or Staubach, as others pointed out.

    Odd list...

Mahomes and Eli Manning are on the legendary list but Bart Starr and Bradshaw who were a combined 6-0 in Superbowls are not?

The rankings are based on winning in the Super Bowl, Staubach was sacked by the Steelers 6-7 times and lost in SB X, Bradshaw was a 2 time SB MVP .

Looking again at the list, there’s a definite era-bias going on. Note how only two of the legendary list are from the 70s, and they happen to be two who didn’t do that well in the Super Bowl.

The more accurate rankings are definitely the more recent QBs from the 90s onwards.

I mean, Doug Williams was “good enough” in XXII? 4 TDs in one quarter?

The list looks accurate to me except I would place Bradshaw in legendary and move Rodgers to elite. Rodgers has only won 1 SB and he hasn't gotten close since. Packers are like the Steelers... they have to sink too much money into QB and the rest of the team suffers.

Also, Mahomes as #3 is complete hyperbolic bullsh!t.

This is one of the most poorly thought out "lists" I have ever seen. Writer might have put out a better list had he drawn the names from a hat....or maybe he did? :hmm:
