If that is the criteria for taking shots at someone then there would be non stop shots being taken every second in the NFL by just about everyone. I think its just the special few that lower themselves that we hear about .

Are you suggesting that Ben is innocent in all of this? All I am saying is something isn't right that many players seem to an issue with Ben. A handful might speak out but I can only imagine how other teammates feel or felt about Ben.

For example Ben started he had the right to criticize teammates publicly. How do you think that goes over with his teammates? Would that go over well with you? How is Ben behind the scenes if he has that attitude?

Maybe others can sense it but I sense something isn't right.

The best memory I can think of is ...Rashard is best known for fumbling in crunch-time that helped the Packers beat us in the Superbowl. After that he quit football & never played again ...similar to Jason Worilds

And more David Johnson than anyone. I'd say 50% Johnson, 25% Legs, and 25% Matthews/Mendenhall. You can't sabotage your ball carrier like that.

No, I don't think that highly of Ben and actually wanted him off of the team after the second incident in Milledgeville, GA. My point is that I agree with you but would prefer to not see players air things out in public. This doesn't do anyone any good except our opponents. Better yet, air it out after they have left the team and then it won't matter. This is just my preference that formed from the old days when there wasn't so many idiots in the game.

I agree players and coaches shouldn't criticize each other in the media. I just don't think it's surprising that when Ben takes shots at teammates they decide to take shots back.

Ben = bad teammate, fist ballot HOF'er, 2X Champion, franchise player

Mendenhal = Ray Lewis broke him his rookie season, malcontent, fumbled away his best opportunity, and less than a footnote in the history of the NFL or the Steelers franchise for that matter.

    Yeah...I'll ride with Ben

Fair enough, but two wrongs don't make a right. Hard to take squabbling millionaires bitching about little to nothing at all.

He has a persecution complex. anyone that leaves the NFL for the reasons he stated isn't all there 100 percent in the head IMO, but I'm sure he'd say I'm "racist" for verbalizing my opinion which has zero to do with skin or culture.

Hope he chills out a bit and finds peace in life

This is recent...but a lot of players didn't like Kobe Bryant when he played either...especially early in his career. I think he said...and I'm paraphrasing...You should want and embrace the haters...no one hates average players, only the great ones.

If Ben was Kirk Cousins or Mathew Stafford in his career...no one would say anything positive or negative about him.

It's funny because in another thread some were saying the Packers clearly outplayed us in that SB which I didn't necessarily agree with. This is the other side of that spectrum.

    My memories of Mendenhall:

Didn’t live up to his draft position.

Fumbled a lot regularly but badly once.

Posted stupid stuff on social media.

    Couldn’t handle social media backlash.

    Faded into obscurity.

Somehow I repressed these memories. Fortunately his ability to post stupid stuff has brought all of this back.

Well, You just don't leave Clay Mathews to be unblocked in the biggest game either. Epic coaching fail to be honest.

True, I couldn’t remember the other guy at fault. I had blocked DJ from my memory.

Didn’t you have an intense dislike of him?

From the first time you step on the practice field in pop Warner you’re told to put your helmet on the football, hit, lift, and drive. Mathews made a perfect helmet on the football hit. There is no hanging onto the ball there. You might get lucky and recover it midair or after it’s bounced around on the ground, but that ball is coming loose

Wouldn't have mattered, the ball wouldn't have broken the plane anyway.
