I think he was talking about the playoff win, not the loss

He's a great motivater, has a plan and sticks with it, player's want to play for him, has a great staff, what else can you ask for? Proud he is coaching the Steelers.

That's an easy one BFT.. Clock management. He struggles in that area for whatever reason. Perhaps hire someone to do that part of his job since he has not done a good job with it.

Tomlin isn't perfect, he clearly has some flaws but given the hand he was dealt this year, I think he did a pretty awesome job. This team lost a LOT of talent and still almost advanced to the AFCC! There are things I want to see improved, but overall, I'm happy he's the coach and can't wait for next season because I think we could see some great things happen.

All too often people around here are willing to blame Tomlin for EVERYTHING but never give him credit. It's all second guessing and questioning. It gets pretty old how negative some people around here are, but you just roll with it and accept that some fans are just like that.

People said the same about Cowher (Cough, cough............Kordell) I just scratch my head over some of the play calls. Don't know if it's Tomlin, or Haley making them. Or Ben ad-libbing.

I think the calls in big moments are Tomlin's calls. I think that fake fg in the Seattle game was a Tomlin call. I think the decision to throw on 4th and 2 in the rats game with Vick was a Tomlin call. I think the decision to go for 2 is always Tomlin's call. I think the decisions to go for it on 4th and whatever are all Tomlin's calls. I think the asinine quick outs to Bryant that are always BEGGING to be picked off are Haley's calls. I think the drive killing trick plays are also Haley's calls. I think the long passes on short down and distances are also Haley's calls. Just my two cents. I personally adore Haley's scheme though and wouldn't trade him for any other OC in the league.

Coach T is one of the best n the NFL. We as fans get too carried away at times, and I don't always agree with his decisions, but he is far better than some of you will admit.

Pretty much my feelings. Clock management is an issue, but I don't think its AS big an issue as some of you make it out to be. Everyone who wants his head hasn't put up a better option. I'd be willing to listen if there was a good option, but Tomlin is damn good.

I think all coaches are basically non-trusting until they see a guy do it on the field. Thats why when a coach switches to a new team he brings his guys with him... KC basically has the Eagles old WR corp minus Desean.

I think that is basically what happened to Boykin. The coaches never saw him in a regular season game with live fire so they didn't trust putting him out there.

    Coaches have trust issues.

Haha, necro'd thread from the day after the donkeys spanked us in that FG fest. Steelers could only muster up a single TD against a mid level defense. Not much has changed since then with Tomlin coached squads.

That Broncos defense was actually damn good. It overcame a sputtering Peyton Manning at the end of his career to carry them to a Championship. I actually think the team played well in the playoffs that year with all of the injuries. What ticked me off to hell about that season was how we got into the playoffs, watching the scoreboard waiting for another team to blow it after losing in week 17 to Ryan Frickin Maillett. I was ready to fire the whole organization after that game.

You're probably right but I dont remember them having a very good rush D but they pretty much shut down steelers run game. They had a good secondary and strong pash rush but Ben had more completions than manning and threw for 339 but couldn't get it in the EZ. Donkeys O was pretty weak but they hit 5 FGs. Hard to win a postseason game in this day and age when you can only muster up 1 TD.

I think people generally underestimate how hard it is to win in the NFL in general.

Just ask Sean Payton, John Harbaugh, and Bill O'Brien this Monday morning.
