While I don’t agree with Sdot, I disagree about your take on Fant. I believe he led all rookie TE’s with 562 yards, 14.1 yards per reception and 3 TD’s and he did that with Flaco and some noob before Locke took over. He out produced everyone’s cats meow last draft, TJ Hockerson.

He’s going to be a very good TE.

He did have 8 more receptions in 4 more games...Hockenson 32 receps in 12 games, Fant 40 receps in 16 games. Those two will be compared for a long time.

I don't like Fant and I'm glad we didn't get him, I think his hands are not reliable. Same reason I never like Eric Ebron. Time will tell.

Well we did draft Mason and we did draft Dobbs prior. So they should have drafted Lock now? Would yinz be calling him jagoff Lock had he also bested Dobbs in the pre season ending in his trade the same? Or do yinz understand that had they drafted him period Dobbs would've been cut and not yielded anything for his being a wasted pick?

So AGAIN... The what ifs are pointless and would ruin all the other other moot arguements. Dobbs was a wasted pick. Mason was worthy and is worthy of being Ben's understudy. Had they drafted Lock yinz'd be bitching about that being a wasted pick and it also ruining Mason's confidence... Of course I'm just presuming right now but I'm trying my best to play along.

Hardly a luxury... Mostly a wasted pick.

They didn't get him with the pick they got from the Steelers. They got him with pick they traded to acquire. As usual, you are relying on misinformation to make a point.

What did they trade? Broncos fans are evaluating the trade as Lock+Fant vs. Bush. They are also correct.

That post is nothing more than Broncos fans willy nillying like yinz does around here. Steelers got their man and he played solid for a rook and should only improve. Neither team won Jack as both teams are sitting at home yet folks like to pose dumb **** like this to pass the time I guess? Carry on

Rudolph vs Jets was "above the line" ...and then he got hurt. Steelers beat Jets and go 9-7 if Rudolph played that whole game.

It's how you evaluate trades. What they did with our picks vs. us with theirs. So the Dolphins are locked in with our pick and aren't allowed to trade up or down? If they do so it nullifies whoever they draft being compared to Minkah? Yinz make no sense.

No way of knowing who the Steelers would have picked in the first or second rounds last draft if they hadn’t traded. They were never taking Fant / Lock anyway. It’s crazy to compare the trades that way.

the Steelers got what they want and the Broncos hopefully get what they want. Why does a team have to win / lose in a trade?

the Broncos got Noah Fant with our #1 pick and Drew Lock with the Bengals 2nd round pick. yes, they used our 2nd to trade up with but it was still the Bengals pick @ #42 they chose Lock with. you said we could have gotten both Fant and Lock, but that's not true without us having to trade up for Lock.

so please don't try to double down on what you said, it was incorrect and sometimes in life it's okay to just say you were wrong. the first rule of being in a hole is to stop digging...

The old we could have had this guy in the draft thread again. eh? So many teams needing good GM's, and no team owner is scouring this board for potential hires. I just do not get it.

Didn't know that playing less than 600 snaps with Offensive Weapons either injured or in a slump, an aging Offensive Line and an Offensive Coordinator who did not trust his own QB, which he ASSISTED with picking, makes a Young QB stink so bad!!

We should just draft Tua instead by trading away our future!!!! Who cares about a possible Career ending hip injury?!?! It will be all worth it after even MORE possible 8-8 or even 5-11 seasons!!!

    I CANNOT WAIT!!!

If you evaluate that trade as only Lock and Fant vs. Bush, you are evaluating it wrong. The Broncos had to trade other resources along with the third-rounder from the Steelers to get Lock. Of course, accuracy really isn't your thing in these discussions.
