Anyone want to come to my 8-8 party?

I know I'll get roasted, but I was thinking of instead of watching the playoffs, we can all sit around and starting at Saturday 4:30pm we'll show 2 replays of the 2 games this regular season when the Steelers won. Then on the Sunday we'll watch 2 more games when the steelers won, and it'll be like wow, we're in the Championship games. Then next week we can watch 2 MORE exciting wins for the steelers this regular season instead of the actual teams that aren't 8-8. Then guess what, we're in the Super Bowl! And we'll replay the Steelers beating the mighty Rams this year and think it's the greatest show on turf and we pulled off the most amazing upset! That sounds grand to me. Who wants to come? I'll get the most average chips, dip, beer, soda, toilet paper, whatever....

And this post isn't directed to anyone really....I just don't want to die before the Steelers win another Super Bowl.

 

I'd rather watch us beat Dallas again. Then we should watch us crushing the Raiders dream team.

Nah, I'll pass. Thinking about scheduling a root canal for Superbowl Sunday though if it ends up being the Seachickens Vs. Rats.

Rather than reliving the frustration of this 8-8 year, even on winning weekends, why not re-live the 6th Seed long shot 2005/2006 playoffs including the road that led to the playoffs starting with Bussie pancaking Urlacher. I've got the DVD ready to go. I'm about halfway between Bakersfield and Santee so at least 3 of us can just meet here at the Phelan Groovy Ranch. I will fly MacDaddyo out to man the smoker and the infrared rotisserie.

 

I think the promise of a meat and beat scared everyone off....

 

Let me do you all a favor and list who wins this weekend so you can enjoy those reruns. If you've seen my pick em picks you know this isn't worth the pixels that allow you to read this:

Vikings (upset special)
Ravens
Chiefs
Green Bay

 

Yeah, even the wins this year were the most frustrating, gut wrenching football I've seen. There was no joy in a win, just relief. Every game ended with
a burst blood vessel. Win or lose.

 

The title of this thread made me instantly angry and sad.

 

I don't want to die before the Browns win a Super Bowl. In other words, I want to live forever.

 

Actually I love the NFL Playoffs even without my favorite team. Last weekend was awesome with all the games going down to the wire plus some OT. I just hope the 4 games this weekend are all close.

those 2006 and 2009 seasons dont seem so bad now. Then again we won a ring the years prior but still....

watching 2019 games was sickening. Gut wrenching wins, heartbreaking losses.

 

You can catch and clean them and I'll fry and eat them. Just got back from Lone Pine/Death Valley/Tonopah. Weather was great between high 40's and high 20's. Snow cleared off all roads. Drove some roads in Nevada where we didn't see another vehicle either direction for 3 hours. Lake Sabrina is still on my list for this year based on your recommendation.
