Would you...not could we afford or anything related to contracts...but would you?

For sake of argument...and again, don't come back with "but this wouldn't happen because"...let's say we trade Ben for Brady, swapping contracts. Ben becomes FA and Brady assumes Ben's current deal with us.

The rest of the financials remain the same, cap space, current roster, etc.

Would you put Brady behind our OL next season instead of Ben?

Oh yeah, and Ben fully recovers from surgery. Basically comes back as the qb we expected at the start of last season.

Taking in a 43yr old QB, no matter how great he was is not a good strategy. Even if the guy is superman, he's probably at best a slightly above league average passer now. And it won't get better. Brady can maybe play another year. Then you're back to square one again.

He wouldn't come here he needs pass protection and the steelers OL are back to playing like Ben's rookie era. ( swiss cheese)

How do we trade contracts when Brady is a free agent without a contract?

Can't throw the ball over 20 yards...Their cheating ways, with every receiver setting a pick, like basketball, before the ball is even thrown, is not working anymore ..Because he doesn't have the threat of throwing it over 20 yards to keep the defense honest...And lastly, He can hardly move

Can’t swap contracts. If we trade Ben we’re still going to take a cap hit for a good portion of his salary.

I think Ben after injury is still better than Brady today

Since this deal seems to be fizzling with the fan base, I'll anticipate the next deal to be dangled out there: Tomlin for Belichick. :lolol:

He wouldn't do well with the Steelers offensive line.

Brady could turn Switzer into the next Edelman.

Send them both to Cleveland and then they might actually have a chance.

The question would be who’d coordinate the offense. This year’s game plan with Brady? Yuck.

Ben's contract ensures that we will either roll with him or a backup. No way Brady or any other top QB goes to the Steelers.
