Even if Ben isn't what he used to be next year, if the offense can improve just one more TD per game more. The Steelers will

Sorry my finger hit the post icon before I finished. I was just saying by scoring just one more TD per game to go along with our defense will make the Steelers hard to beat.

Just great. Lets just be happy that for years we controlled our own destiny and blew it big time. You can, I can't. No more excuses. If we can get to 8-5 we should at least be able to win one of our last 3 games. Ya think?

And QB's can't overcome poor OC decisions and play calling.

It's hard to win when your QB throws 6 ints the last 2 games.

Conner is still the best RB on the team, he just can't stay healthy.

This is a joke right?! I hope so. Ol Randy is a brutal offensive coordinator and should be shown the door after this season. The only reason he is employed is because of Ben. And he is such a great QB coach to :lolol:

If it were just the QBs, I would understand. The entire offense looks lost out there:

    - OLine isn't giving any QB enough time to make reads/plays. By the time MR/DH drop back, the rushers are in their faces. Missed assignments, poor blocking, etc
    - DJ goes from superman to goat to superman in the span of 3 weeks. Hopefully it's just "rookie-itis" but this offense can't afford for him to have his head in the clouds (or wherever farther south it may be)
    - JuJu hasn't been himself all season. Lack of AB drawing coverage away from him? Too much social media? Something isn't right...
    - Connor... I love the guy, but let's face it - he's too fragile to be an NFL-caliber RB. I'm now coining the nickname "6 Play" for him - because that's about all he's good for over the course of a game before getting injured.
    - Washington is the only bright spot IMO. If not for him rising to another level this season, we'd be sitting here lamenting (again) about the high 1st rounder we gave up for Minkah.
    - And what's up with Pouncey's snaps? Holy...

Add all of this up and it begs the question - what are the coaches doing to prepare each week? None of what I've said above is unknown to them.

Or Kam Chancellor for that matter. Remove that neck injury that ended his career and one is likely talking about a borderline Hall of Famer.

Just returned home after going to the game yesterday. I had a good time in spite of the loss.

My post game complaint #1 is really a comparison of being a Steelers fan to being a Jets fan.

I would say that the crowd was about 50/50 which is more Steelers fans than I've seen at the Meadowlands in prior visits over the past 25 years.

At the end of the game, 2 Jets fans behind me were already giving up when the Steelers got the ball back.

"It will be a 17-16 final. Wait and see."

"They will be better off losing this game".

"Gase has to go. He coaches to lose".

And then when the game ended- shouting at Steelers fans- "No playoffs- now you are just like us".

#2 Post game complaint is that after drinking 3 beers in the lot before 11 am, I did not attempt to set a personal record for that time of day by having a 4th.

I believe it's mostly the play of the QBs. The play of the QB has an impact on everyone from the Oline to the WR's. The play of the QB also influences how an opposing defense attacks the offense. Of course an offense looks lost when the QB doesn't play well.

The WR's are a young group that made plays when the QB executed.

There's no consistency at the RB position. The top 3 RBs on this team were injured this season. Connor the best RB the team has can't be counted on to stay healthy. The organization will need to address the RB position on the off season.

What's not right with Juju is the play of the QBs and his injury.

It's hard to judge this offense based on the way the QBs performed this year. If there is a fault it's that the organization didn't have a more experience back up QB on the roster. That's another position they will need to address in the off season if possible.

The way for this team to win is to play good defense and keep the game close, keep the offense in manageable 3rd down situations in the hope they can make enough plays to extend drives to score, and most importantly don't turn the ball over and limit mistakes.

Every play call didn't work. Every play call doesn't work. I sometimes wonder how people reach the conclusions they reach knowing that the Steelers were lacking big time at the QB and RB positions this season. They also has a young group of WRs.

Now how many OC's would work magic with that combination of players? People's expectations are skewed.

    In 2018 the Steelers offense:
    Scoring 5th
    Red zone scoring 1st

Randy did some good things last year when he had competent QB play. I doubt he's going anywhere considering what he's had to work with this season.

Randy also had Ben in 2018, and that guy that used to wear 84.

He should kiss Ben's ass for the non losing streak but he needs a defense to look elite.

I wish I could do the Ben ohh gif. He basically runs the offense through Randy steelersrule. For better or worse.

Tomlin knowing what to do on offense? :roflmao:
