We are playing musical chairs with dumb and dumber at QB. Not like we spent 3 years developing a QB who never really got a shot and traded him for a bag of footballs right before we needed him. That pick is useless and we needed Dobbs. This is Top 5 one of Colberts worst moves.

Frankly I thought Dobbs was terrible. Until helmet-gate I felt Rudolph was a better qb than Dobbs for the present and certainly the future. But in retrospect all these guys, Dobbs, Rudolph and Hodges are JAGs

Lamar Jackson looked horrible last year and the MVP this year. Your point? He wasn't horrible but he did regress a bit.

Dobbs would have gotten broken in half.

Even if Mahomes was our backup, he would have been handcuffed by our idiot OC

I feel Dobbs/Rudolph/Duck is all kinda a wash. They are all on the same level.

I just think we could have saved picks on 2 mediocre QB's and used them on something else that would have really helped us.

Dobbs makes one play and suddenly he's the answer to our problems.

No better than what we have now. In fact, I think he's worse than Mason.

I like Duck's attitude, but he isn't the answer.

    Dobbs wasn't the answer.

Mason is the only serviceable one of the bunch. He's got the size and arm strength. But he needs some serious QB coach help. He's got a weird delivery, and has absolutely no pocket awareness whatsoever. That can all be coached out of him with the right personnel. Will it happen?

Dobbs was merely Kordell "lite" and we all know the collective mindset around here regarding Kordell (actually I liked him and was sorry to see him falter probably due more to poor revolving door coaching than talent). Dobbs was a prequel to what we've seen this year and doubt he would have fared any better. Has he commandeered another starting or even backup role?

Currently holding down the # 3 spot for JAX behind Minshew and Foles. (and not playing, of course)

So he went from #2 here for a while to #3 with the Jags. Perhaps the OP should be hounding that website for their sorry 2019 performance.

I think the plan was he would be # 2 behind Foles, but that was before Minshew became a thing.

I think his ability to run could have won us a game or 2 more ..He could have at least ran the wildcat better ... A scramble for a 1st. down here and there could have changed things a good bit..I agree with the OP..
