I don't have the footage but that was a beautiful hit! I thought for a moment they were calling a personal foul on him for that hit, which almost had me going ballistic. Turns out it was a phantom interference call on Taylor....which had me going ballistic! lol

You'll be able to find it on youtube as people upload it, but youtube will probably delete it. If you want HD footage, check nfl.com

The stupid penalty call on the hit PISSED me off! Those replacement refs almost screwed up the call. At one point they were throwing flags on every play and then taking their time trying to sort them out. However, the hit was beatiful. Holmes got the piss knocked out of him, thats why he dropped the ball! GO CLARK!

Clark played his ass off in the game, he really made a difference.

I agree! Ryan Clark played a great game! The PI call had every person I was watching the game with staring at the TV with mouth hanging open :o

Hit on Antonio versus hit on Santonio - one hung on and no penalty called - the other dropped it like a hot spud and a penalty was called. Go figure. Would be sweet to have both plays imbedded here side by side to view. Just to justify once again the decision to cut Holmes loose.

lol, yes but the ballistic if it had been for PF would have been far worse then the ballistic for the phantom PI call. When I thought it was for PF I was thinking what the heck, you're not allowed to hit people hard anymore. That was a great hit, so glad that was deemed clean.

Have you seen the "controversy" over the "cheap shot" by Golden Tate on Sean Lee? It was a beautiful hit, right in the torso, and it was very relevant to the play. Lee was chasing the ball carrier, and Tate was right there. He didn't even have a big running start. He was actually running the same way as Lee, and only had a few steps to turn around and make the hit. It was just a beautiful hit, and clean. Even under new rules, it has to be helmet to helmet in order to draw a flag. I forget where I saw this (I think somewhere on ESPN) but someone in a position of "expertise" was actually using this great no-call to complain about the refs. Like there weren't any legitimate mind-boggling calls by refs this week. People are literally against hitting hard now.

As for our phantom PI call, I have a little theory that I can't prove. I think the flag came out on Clark for the hit. You know, the "Ryan Clark is not allowed to make receivers fall down" rule.

Then the other refs came in and said, "I don't know, I think this one was so clean that they'll call us on our sh-- for it"
"It was? Damn. I didn't really get a good look, I just kind of figured. You know how it is."
"Yeah. Well, what the hell are we gonna do now? We can't just pick up the flag and look like idiots."
"What about PI? Was there PI?"
    "I don't remember. Probably."
"There's always some contact. I'm sure there was enough."
    "Alright, let's go for it."

that's exactly what i said in the timmons thread, and i believe it still. ike had a couple of PI calls already so why not 1 more. they were stuck then. it came out to quick after the hit came for it not to be. they blew that one big time. we are watched closer then the rest too, even by the replacements. i wonder if someone put a bug in their ears? RG1 perhaps?
