Who deserves the Gameball for the W against the Jets?

    Realistically? Ben. For fun? Clark.

voted clark, he seems to be the only one who can consistently tackle + lay the smack down.

Big Ben. Let's face it, for whatever short comings he has, he's hard as hell to bring down. We could have given up 8-10 sacks today with a lesser QB. And Ben seems to be adapting to the quicker passing that Haley wants pretty well.

1A) Ryan Clark. He deserves the ball too. He was everywhere. It's amazing what a difference he makes. I'll even be so bold as to say we're better off with Troy out, and Clark in than with Troy in and Clark out. (Of course, having them both healthy is the ideal. :))

When the good Ben shows up he is one if not the best QB in the league, if for no other reason the way he breaks tackles and extends the play.
When the bad Ben shows up he looks like a deer in the headlights and plays bad.
Its all about consistency. The Steelers success this season rest on Ben's shoulders. Will he step up?

I posted the same thing in another thread. But what does that say about our oline? We are still not there yet but hopefully they will start jelling together. And they got through an entire game without an injury.

Ben played great, only mistake he made was not runnning it when he tried to get the pass to Dwyer, He would have easily got 15 yards if he tucks and runs it. But, Heath Miller got my vote, didn't drop a pass had a TD catch huge catch on 3rd down, he has solid hands and he was having a saftey or a corner cover him most times. He had a really nice pancake block on Redman's 12 yard run as well.

I thought the same thing. Ben played very well last night and got my vote. I just thought he could have picked up those yards like you mentioned.

I'm sure Ben is being coached up not to run if he feels he has a receiver, they want him taking less punishment. He actually made the right choice there, just not a goood throw. If he gets it to Dwyer, he would have gotten more yards then he could have run for.

IF that's true (remember, Peyton Manning vs. Mark Sanchez had a lot to do with the last two games, and we've had plenty of experience with no Troy and the difference is generally astounding), a big part of it might be that we have a good backup strong safety (Ryan Mundy) and a not so good backup free safety (Ryan Mundy).

I'm the biggest Ben homer here but not the game ball for this game. He was good but not great.

Heath. Wallace, or Clark, and I give it to Heath just for his tenacity and being the thorn in the jets side all game long. Ben had a good night, heath was spectacular!
