I typically agree with your judgment of this kind of behaviour with one exception; the O-line - Quarterback relationship. Most successful offensive lineman so deeply embrace the idea that it is their number one job to keep the QB safe. And much like the old NHL enforcers they would do anything to ensure that nobody takes any liberties with their QB. That responsibilities extends beyond the whistles and even the field at times. Most of these guys continue that level of protection even when they are in public. It becomes part of their psyche. They carry it with them like a badge of honor.

At times it will get you in trouble....sure. But remember that defenders keep that in mind when when hitting the QB. Teams will remember not to mess with Pouncey and the QB he's protecting. They'll tackle the QB softer, they won't take a cheap shot on a fumble or interception, the impact of Pouncey's actions will help the steelers for a long time.

I accept that. It's like having a gun slinger for a QB. You accept that sometimes he throws crazy interceptions, but other times those plays turn into incredible touchdowns. It's the psyche that makes them great at what they do.

I genuinely appreciate and even agree with what your saying, to some extent anyway. However, don’t you think we need to draw the line somewhere ? I mean maybe Pouncey should have ripped Garrets helmet off and beat him to a pulp with his own helmet. And being that I’m older, I also appreciate the enforcers of the old days. That said, the game has indeed evolved, not to mention the players themselves. I just thought the kicking was equally as egregious.

I know what your saying about the relationship a center has with his QB, but if you punch me in the face does that give me the right to pick up a baseball bat to retaliate, or worse yet a gun. I realize I’m delving into extremes but I’m only trying to make a point that violence only begets more violence.

I just find very little wiggle room excessive violence by professional athletes not acting as role models, especially when I’m trying to teach my kids the way the game is meant to be played.

Love Pouncey. Is it me or were some of Pouncy's snaps going into Duck's thighs a few times? Snaps looked a little erratic at times.

Pouncy thinks he has to skip the ball across the pond to get it to the Duck. Or maybe he's trying to tenderize the Duck's thighs. Do Ducks even have thighs? Anyway, his snaps have been jacked up nearly all year. He needs to fix that shiz before it costs us a game.

It’s been that way all year. This is the worst he’s been.

That’s the main reason he was suspended. It happened during the scuffle.

Well if I’m going to make a point and call someone a thug I’ll do my best to get the facts straight.

I believe that money value is returned to the Cap (maybe wrong). Not that it matters that much late in the year, but some guys might get performance bonus for this year.
