Washington and Johnson have really stepped up.

    Haden with two interceptions.

    Duck played well.

    We won

Barron is still weak in coverage, but he has played much better overall of late.

It was great to see the Steelers finally get something from the return game.

The positive is us steelers fans get to watch this team who nearly everyone thought would not be sniffing the playoffs let alone controlling their own destiny.

Kerryth whyte looked real good in his limited touches.

The punt return game created good field position for once.

The front office has hit lately with the undrafted players

The D was hurrying murray all game

Road win and West Coast. This team has bought in and are playing together. Offensive limitations will catch up but will it hold off for a couple more weeks allowing us to get in the playoffs?

One of my takeaways is that of our defense and how it was able to contain Murray on the outside. The defensive team speed is just flat out exceptional right now.

Lets see, Minkah, Haden, Dupree all looking great. Hodges pulls through again with 16/19 and a 117.5 passer rating. Washington and Johnson continue to play well.

Elite Defense who can take the ball away.

Getting just enough out of the run game.

Duck minimizing turnovers and picking up enough first downs.

I said from the start of the season that we have an easy schedule and that would help us. We have lost to the good teams (Patriots, Seahawks, 49ers and Ravens).

I think ultimately we can get into the playoffs and maybe out up a fight in the wildcard round. How far we go from there is really going to be on the defense. They are now winning games for us.

For how little we use him, From Cain has been impressive.

Washington emerging as a very capable #2. Diontae Johnson proving his fans pre-draft right. Absolutely has the tools to be a #1.

I really like the RB White, I think they need to keep him and ship Trey Edmunds.

With Nix on IR they can keep both and no one needs to go, barring an injury to someone else.

Dionte Johnson was the most dynamic player on the field yesterday. He didn't have a good game against the Browns but he bounced back and was lights out yesterday. Hodges for the second week in a row has outplayed the last two #1 picks in the whole draft.

The NFL.com write up says the Steelers are a team nobody wants to meet in the play offs.

Last week I wouldn't have agreed so much due to the offensive woes. I think this week we saw the offense making much better use of RB rotation and giving each one plays taht work to their strengths. Having White, Snell and Samuels open up the ground game is also helping Washington and Johnson.

I thought the announcers might make more of that when they put up the QB stats in comparison yesterday - no.1 pick rookie vs unsigned FA rookie, pretty good to see Duck outplaying Murray.

To be fair, Mayfield and Murray didn't have to face the Steelers' defense. That may sound negative, but it's really an acknowledgement of just how good the Pittsburgh defense is right now.

I think our team speed and better secondary has been a boon for Bud. Let me explain. Because the QB is running for his life more often, this extends the time he is holding the ball and gives Bud a chance to be a factor on the play. So you can say getting Minkah was huge for Bud and that helps explain our sudden improvement. This is a case of unexpected synergy. Instead of Bud being out of the play because he takes the long route around and the play used to be over before he got to the QB, now he is there to help pick up the fleeing QB. We essentially went from 10 guys on defense to 11 when we got Minkah.

I'm not sure I take your meaning. Did you mean they did have to face them?

I think Duck might now have as many wins in the Mountain time zone as Ben.

Yeah. I screwed that one up. I meant they had to face the Steelers' defense and Hodges did not. Hodges may have produced better results than Murray and Mayfield, but he did it against much weaker defenses.
