Yeah but playing high level teams you need offense too... unless our defense creates turnovers every time in the red zone

Ok show me Tomlin's record vs sub .500 teams. Once you find the answer you will see it's a winning record by a large margin.

There is not such thing as playing down to the competition constantly. Every team has talent. The NFL isn't college ball.

Show me where back up QB's light us up regularly. Tomlin coached teams would certainly have an overall losing record as a HC if what you wrote was the case. The team wouldn't had made the playoffs 8 out of 12 years either.

Marty was fired after going 14-2 his last year at the Chargers I believe. Not sure but it was a very good year and he was gone.

The last year the Chargers were significant.

Was talking about winning 8 games.

Attempt at being a smart ass = fail.

"This one is impressive", your words, not mine. I simply was implying that winning over a 3 win team isn't that impressive.

I like Marty and thought he was a pretty good coach. I guess he had an issue with upper management/ his boss/ GM> Next year they started 0-3

If I remember correctly, they were stacked that year & went out in their 1st playoff game.

Why do I feel I am dealing with a 3 year old? Tried to ignore you but you're a "staff member" and won't allow it. Pity.

You're correct. They were a one and done team that year and that is what set off the fireworks between he and the GM.

Sorry Steel Hog, obviously you're not familiar with the concept of "green font", it's not something to like or dislike. It simply means this isn't to be taken seriously. You've done this before so the only conclusion is you don't know what "sarcasm" is. Maybe Google it sometime. :lolol:

We beat a 3 win time barely...A zero win team barely last week...With the Head Coach making the most bone-headed of moves in each...We win despite of him, because big our outstanding D... We're stuck with this Clown now...Watch if Colbert and Khan leave and all we have is Popcorn

    :shrug::shrug:
I alluded to this somewhat in the GD thread
We won against Cincy ugly, won against the Browns ugly , now an ugly win out west mind you ,against another NFL bottom feeder,With THESE players
Years past with ELITE players we routinely would lose ugly games like these
    I don’t get what’s happening right now,really don’t

Just keep rolling with it... It's well documented that I'm not a Tomlin fan ( still ain't ) He doesn't run the O, D, Special teams, But he still does the DUMBEST ****...

When to go, not to go, Go for 2 or 1, timeouts, challenges,CLOCK MANAGEMENT, My God is he bad...Just keep winning though...I am loving this!

I think it’s time to move on
He’s won one , I don’t see it happening again with him

Tomlin has the team winning games they are supposed to and not playing down. We haven't seen this since 2010. The Jets are the only remaining bottom feeder to play down to.

I wonder what is now missing from the team that has stopped causing us to play down? :hmmm:

Actually, putting together a team that can potentially compete for a super bowl is the standard. And that has been done pretty well. That is why they won’t sell the farm to try to win it all in any one particular season.
