It`s a great story. The dream every good QB in college has. Just to be given a chance to prove yourself in the NFL. Duck has his chance and that has to be the most wonderful thing that has happened for him. Succeed or fail, at least he gets his shot. The guys that never get their chance, it has to eat at them the rest of their life.

No kidding. ANYONE can throw accurately behind a good OL. But as the OL goes, so does the accuracy. There has never been an accurate qb behind a sub-par line. It just ain't possible.

    Or is it? :hehehe:

That's a good point about playing down to your opponent. Our offense is chock full of guys who are fighting for a chance to just stay on an NFL roster. They are not going to just go through the motions and risk being unemployed in the near future.

Funniest thing just happened on kind of a bad day. Wife got the water bill and it was doubled from last month. Went out to the meter and it's spinning like a top. Shut off the water, crawled under the house and told my son to turn on the valve. Found a big leak. Shut water back off go to the hardware store and pick up new piping and fittings. Come back to my house and can't find my pipe cutters anywhere. Slightly mad but it is what it is at this point. Go back into the garage and dig thru all of my plumbing hardware and tools again but still can't find them anywhere when all of a sudden I find this football themed rubber duck about the size of a Silver dollar. No one in the family knows where it came from.

I will try and post a picture soon.

So speaking of ducks, Devlin Hodges walks into a Rite Aid and goes to buy some chapstick and the clerk asks him how he wants to pay for it and Hodges says: "Just put it on my bill!" :hehehe:

Speaking of the Broncos, how do you get down off a horse? You don't. You get down off a duck! (Remember, he who laughs last, didn't get it.)

PS: I found these jokes mixed in with my kindergarten papers from around 1875. :drinks:

Did you go to school in a one room wooden schoolhouse way back in 1875?

Well not one room but it was wooden - St Anne's in Castle Shannon, the old schoolhouse and church were both wooden and very spooky, lot of secret hallways, stairwells and haunted rooms. I was a hall monitor and had keys to all the "hidden" spaces. But the #1 bonus of going to school back then was it was much easier because history could all fit on one page! :lolol:

Well done Duck. Another solid if unspectacular game. I am much more relaxed watching him under center than MR

I agree but IMO he is not the future after Ben and neither is Mason. Ben's replacement is still playing College ball.

Yeah duck could be a nice backup. He is a smart player that can make throws and get some wins but he is not a franchise QB imo.

Does anybody else think he needs to lose a few lbs? If he was better conditioned he might scramble and extend plays better. Anyway, I like the guy and I hope he sticks around as a backup option once Ben comes back.

Duck must be the first QB in the history of the nfl to have his first three starts against qb’s drafted first overall in the draft and beat all three of them. He looks just as good as Ben looked in his first few starts. That completion at the end of the game at 3rd and 13 was vintage Ben like.

Guy appears to not realize he's playing in the NFL. He's just playing ball and not giving a duck!
