Berry sucks

It seems like we constantly have our heels on the goal line which makes things so difficult. But how often does this guy pin the other team down? And when kicking out of his own end, when you want him to hit it harder, you get a wobbler off the side of his foot that barely crosses the 50. He is a liability on ST.

It's not even like he used to be awesome and is having a bad stretch. He's never really been worth a damn. They can't find someone better than this guy? Seriously? This is the NFL!

 

I haven’t looked at the stats, but I thought he’s been having a decent season.

 

We were punting from near midfield and he pooched a 30 yard pop-up that didn't even get to the 20 yard line. Next time from around the same place he blasted the ball into the endzone on the fly. Twice he had a chance to pin the Browns back and he failed both times.

 

Berry has had a solid season I think. He had the touchback today, but overall he’s been pretty good.

 

To be fair, the one he ‘blasted into the endzone’, landed about a yard deep. Still a touchback, but not far from being great.

What the heck are you talking about? Berry is having a solid season. He had a couple not great punts yesterday, other than that he did fine.
I believe he only has three touchbacks on the season.

 

He has also had some other clunkers this year. The guy is making almost two mil. Id find another next year.

 

While this game doesn't reflect it, this is by far Berry's best season..... he's averaging a very solid 47 yds. Per punt and quite often this season has flipped field position for us.... He's going to stick

 

He is the least of our worries.

 

Ok, we seem kinda split on opinions here. Let me say this, I think he's a bad situational punter. His average is fine, but as far as pinning teams down, he's consistently bad at this. At least once or twice a week we're in precarious positions because of great punting from other teams. I can't remember the last time we had a team pinned down close.

If you have stats that I'm wrong, I'll admit I'm wrong.

 

He's actually had a very good season. Maybe his best. lol

 

According to the Stats he's middle of the league average. But he's more toward to top 30% of NFL punters with punts inside the 20.

Was kind of shocked to see that there were a lot more teams than the Steelers who had way more punts. Thought we be up in the top but we weren't close.

 

I think he's having the best season of his career. Granted, he set that bar kinda low, but at least he aint shanking it this year.

 

Money was a liability last year too.

 

We have tried to replace him, the competition they bring in
and he still beats them out? I know, I can't believe it either. Nor will I.

 

IDK I thought he was having a pretty good season. Maybe with all the other problems it has covered this up I am not sure. I have no worries about him.......

Berry does suck, I'd much rather have key lime.

He is not having a good season. He is 21st in the league net punting. He has been in the bottom half of the league in net punting every season of his career.

He is hot garbage. Always has been. Always will be. Inexcusable he is still earning a paycheck.

 

Would throwing a deep INT be a better option than punting?
