Last drive of the game flaco had all the time to stand in the pocket and pick us apart. Now that i think about it seem like all game he had no pressure they kept on converting injust about every third down you can't win toomany games playing soft D like that.

The D wasn't soft. The D was slow and passive.

The only player who earned his keep last night was Harrison. Everyone else should hang their head in shame.

How you make Brady ineffective on third down (30%), and force the Patriots to punt 4 times, but cannot get off the field against a joke like Flacco just boggles my mind.

Well truth is they got a few sacks and more pressure on him in this game versus the 1st game this year where I don't think he even had a grass stain on his uniform at the end of the game. That said, at the most critical point in the game where they really needed to step it up and bring the pressure they couldn't get it done :(

Was it just me or did the defense look confused almost throughout that drive. On every play that the clock was still running, the d-line wasn't even close to set when the ball was snapped. Unless there was an incomplete pass etc that stopped the clock and allowed Balt to take their time getting to the line. I'm sure I saw Harrison just stand and watch for two or three plays on that drive. He was three yards from the LOS when the ball was snapped and more or less stood and watched the play. He had a great game and it wasn't only him. He was just who I was focusing on (hoping for a big play). It looked like they had never faced a no huddle offense before.

It wasn't just you. They looked lost to me, too. I'm debating whether or not to watch the replay today. Part of me wants to analyze some plays, but I just don't know if I can stomach it.

They probably were confused because they had no answer for stopping them from passing the ball and moving the chains. They got some pressure, but it wasn't making a difference and closing out drives.

There was decent pressure throughout the game. There were times Flacco dropped back and had to make a quick decision as the pocket was collapsing. He made the read and delivered to a wide open receiver so the DBs were not getting good jams at the line like they did last week.

I think there was more pressure on Flacco then there was on Ben. When Ben ran out of the pocket it was 5 seconds into the play and you should never rely on your blocking to hold that long any way. Steelers did a good job at making sure blitzers didn't come free. What I don't know is why Ben had the ball in his hands for so long on so many plays.
