Dixon was a leading candidate for the Heisman his last year before getting a season ending knee injury. Nonetheless, he was great in college but couldn't make the same impression in the NFL. All QBs are different and maybe, just maybe the Duck can do something to get a win Sunday. I am not counting on it though.

The last part of your post is probably true. Getting Smith-Schuster back should help some, but this is a very weak offense. They are below average at best at most skill positions and the line is struggling, especially Villanueva. The one major thing in the Steelers’favor for the rematch Sunday is the absence of Garrett. That should make a big difference.

Devlin Hodges, sorry I had to do that to remember his name. Duck was becoming to common. Listening on radio Sunday to the Bengal game, at times I got confused if the guy was a Steeler or a Bengal. We sure don't have the 22 starters we started this campaign with.

I'd change the title to "announced", but no. I like the unintentional ambiguity

Calvin was a delusional troublemaker who heard voices. Hobbes was just a stuffed animal.

Wow, a lot of negativity here. Let's give the guy a chance, and with a week of practice with the starters, maybe good things happen.

Tim Cowlishaw on Around the Horn tonight said that during the Steelers training camp his "contacts" inside the Steelers camp told him that Hodges was the most impressive QB in camp. I don't know if that includes Ben or he just meant the backups.

I don't know why coach T named him right out of the gate instead of keeping things closer to the vest until the 11th hour... Maybe to light a fire under mason? Who knows. Let's go Duck!

Someone needs to get first team reps. Splitting that would not be wise. As soon as Hodges took the first first team snap, it would have been news.

I hope Duck lights it up. If he struggles he will be under glass.

I feel that Mason's skull is still recovering. Not surprised Tomlin made the decision. It won't matter he will get a mulligan for this year anyway.

I wonder if Paxton will be activated?

To secure a win this defense best play a hell of a lot better. No sacks on the boy wonder Mayfield as well as zero turnovers.

It's the right calli my opinion. Wish he would have done it weeks ago but better late than never I guess.
