If what you're saying holds true, they should start MR at Nose Tackle. ;)

Is Rivers the most over-rated player in the NFL now that nobody cares about Eli any more?

They could quietly do this by suspending MR for one game for "Conduct Unbecoming" and it wouldn't look like a QB controversy or benching. Win -Win??

That wouldn't be fair to him. He had every right to do what he did to Garrett. But benching him would send the message, it's just a question of whether or not he can receive the message.

I guess you missed the point. Our DC didn’t seem to have a clue until we had a bunch of 1st round picks. It’s looking like the same for our OC.

I don't know what the future holds for Mason. He's played 8 games and at best it's a mixed bag. It looks like he won't be Ben, but he could become a competent, but not great starter ala Andy Dalton, Derek Carr.

But I'll withhold judgement for now. All I read here over the off season was how Lamarr Jackson was a joke, sure he could run, but his completion % was laughable. He was an RB that tried to throw the ball. No one laughing now. Theres plenty of reason to not like what you're seeing now, but also plenty of reason to believe in improvement. Especially, if Mason gets real NFL RBs and WRs to work with.

They have 6 more games to assess Mason potential. Run the experiment, decide accordingly.

I think there's some spoiled fan element in the assessment of Mason. After 15 yrs, people are become used to Ben and his output. Well, this is how life is with most of the league without a franchise QB. Get used to it, it's gonna be the new normal in these parts.

Pouncey and Decastro are number 1s. I’m betting most teams don’t have much more than 3.

Pouncey is suspended. We have one playing along with 4 udfa on the line. I'll bet we have one of the lowest draft ranking starters on offense in the league right now. You all want top play from these guys though.

I had a dream in which the CEO of my company was in a meeting wearing a suit and tie above the waist, and mermaid costume below the waist... so, no the dream probably doesn’t mean anything.

Or Landry Jones? Think about MR's NFL experience about 8 games to date.
I am not sticking up for him, all I am saying with what he has had to deal with
No running game, OL playing poorly, injuries to key personnel. he is still fighting to get better.
Chew on this, say your a first year union apprentice are you going to be worth more
to my company than an experienced 10 year veteran that has been doing the job for 10 years?
Folks there are only so many Pat Mahomes, out there. It is hard being an NFL QB.If you are the Steelers GM and you have a (15 year 28 million dollar a year QB). Probably played his best games still owed another 28 million what options do you have?

You had full confidence in Sarrett as I remember... as did I, I'm no different, but the on-field production has dropped by all involved. I thought Sarrett was too inexperienced and noted how he had only charted plays the couple seasons before as a "play coordinator". He was barely an o-line coach before he was charting plays as an offensive assistant.

They even brought in an assistant. I thought he would be a good coach learning from munch, but wow what a chit show we have going on. The tackles are playing bad. Hawkins who was having his best preseason was traded away. Chuks took a step back but they kept him. Even the gets are playing worse under starrett.

We seem to have quite a few coaches who were barely anything before they got a shot here. Maybe it’s how the Rooney’s save some money since they are forced to spend it on players? Not having a QB coach to me is laughable and dumb.

Rooneys are saving for a golf cart. Agree on the QB coach, someone that is not joined at the hip to Ben.
