    Yeah, I get that.

I was speaking more to a baseline talent level. Jackson's natural abilities compared to MR isn't a comparison at all. The guy is a weapon. Like in tennis, you have guys that serve just to basically put the ball in play, but the best players in the world use their serve as a weapon. So much so, that it can keep them in matches, even when they aren't playing great, because all they have to do is win their serve and they stay in the match till the end, where anything can happen.

Some aspect of a QB has to be their weapon. Jackson has, a fantastic arm, and maybe the best runner I've seen. He's also fearless. His natural abilities give him a leg up automatically over most QB's. But that alone doesn't make a great QB obviously, but those natural abilities(his weapons) give him an opportunity to be great with the sharpening of those weapons.

What are MR's weapons? Speed? No. Arm strength? Certainly not. Naturally accurate? Nope. Spacial awareness. Hmmm, not really. Improvisation? Don't think so. Hard work and study? Possibly.

He is a textbook game manager type QB. A game manager, to me is a guy than can be efficient through practice and hard work despite his lack of weapons. They're nice guys to have as back ups. But, they themselves, aren't weapons. The serve the ball just to put it in play.

    I want a weapon.

Like I said not comparing the two but Jackson looked like he never played QB last year. They also had the know how and the foresight to tailor the offense around him. I have no faith in our coaches to even come close to putting a similar plan together. Deshaun Watson is looking pretty terrible under pressure and he has many of the tools Jackson has. OL play and play calling and viable weapons make a huge difference in production. MR is getting none of that...

Man.. you are not kidding. Moreover, it is even more impressive that John wanted ro accept that change and trust that young Lamar could develop within what he could do best. Turns out that was the correct gamble.

Now, if only Randy Fichtner could do the same!!!! Sounds simple to trust a young QB and play to his strengths right?!?! NOPE!!

Horrific is a compliment in this case. How about torture?! Some fan bases can chastise the Steelers for using "Renegade" by Styx but at least it is a song people can enjoy!!

    You're an evil mother -------:)

Although I'd love to see the Lamar Jackson go crazy on them.

Idk why anyone thought that. He played good for the rams and balled out in the sb. Had their 100 million dollar qb not wet bed they would have won it all last yr.

Raven fans must cringe every time Jackson starts a run. Fun as hell to watch but that injury bug has a way to sneak up on running QB's.

It looks like they actually have a identity and a plan. They’re not doing anything fancy on offense just simple and effective play calling. Hmmm.....

Hes so quick and elusive. He barely takes punishment I've yet to see him take a kill shot. He casually gets his yards and gets down or runs out of bounds. He can hold up possibly.

    They don’t.
Unfortunately I was in the Baltimore area this weekend.
Saw the game at Heavy Seas Brewery.
    They just laugh in amazement.
