Looks like I won't have to go out looking for a place to see the game this week here in the MD, DC, VA area. Will be right down stairs in my Steelers man cave!

Doesn't matter for me. It would have to be a 4 pm game so I can't even watch a half of it live. :frustrated:

DVR time. Bad thing about that is there's zero way for me not to know the score before I get home.

Great. Jim Nantz. After Michaels drooling all over Manning last week and now Nantz will be just as bad with Sanchez and the Jets.

Thanks for the map but I'm in that one spot in the middle of the map with no coverage at all.

Guess I'm depending on the gameday thread to do play-by-play for me.

I find it interesting that in Hawaii, the one Fox game they show is the 1pm Eastern game. Which I believe is 7am for them. Where as if their on Fox game would be the 4pm Eastern game, then it would be on at 11am. Maybe they just all get up early there. At least we all know that if they are watching football, they will be watching the Steelers. Then again, if I was there, I might be doing something else.

I`m guessing it is blacked out locally, due to the fact that the local team didn`t sell out the game. I didn`t pay attention to which area that was.
It doesn`t happen very often, although a team or 2 had problems with it last year, I forget, but I am thinking maybe Tampa Bay, or somewhere on the coast, like that.
Also, I`m pretty sure they could still technically "sell-out" the game, by the team, or sponsors buying up the remainder of the ticketts closer to the deadline, which, I believe is a lot closer to Saturday eve., for a Sunday game.
I forget the deadline, but I`m pretty sure it`s not before Friday or Saturday, before the game.
The Clowns had to resort to this tactic a few times last year, to avoid their games being blacked out here in Northeast Oh.
On a side note, I don`t like late games, or even 4 o`clock games, but at least it gives me the chance to see more games, without spending money on Sunday Ticket, or at the bar...
It looks like this year, there are probably only about five games that won`t be televised here, which is rare... Usually, it`s closer to 10!
    Yay for me! :-D

Ray... it IS possible, just very, very difficult.
Just pretty much go into a coccoon, from the time the game starts, `till you get to the comfort of your home, to watch it...
NO Radio... NO t.v. ... NO Internet...Don`t look at texts, or answer your fone... etc... It CAN be done... I`ve had to do it for Buckeye games before. No chance I`m missin a Steeler game. I will call off that day, if I have to... And, if necessary, have your wife turn the t.v. on, and start the DVR recording, so you don`t take the chance of seeing the score, on the channel the t.v. turns on to... ;) :lolol:
    :yeehaw:

This happens here in San Diego every week! For a Sunday game, the deadline is Thursday. What happens a lot here is that the local CBS affiliate will buy the tickets so they can show the game locally and get the ad revenue. Way to go Choker fan(s)!

I live in Seattle and this crap happens all the time. It has nothing to do with selling out the Seahawks game, I don't think. It has something to do with the network not being allowed to air any other game at the time of the Seahawks game. And I hate it.

lol, I swear since I got Sunday Ticket and half the Steeler games started being aired on TV :lolol: I was bound to see this one though, I live in NY.

Still love my Sunday Ticket. An added bonus is when Cablevision (owned by James Dolan whom I can't stand) calls trying to get me to switch, I let them go through their whole thing and just say Sunday Ticket, they have no response :hehehe:

Congrats dude! You are gonna love it! Make SURE you visit the Hall of Fame. It's awesome! And get ready to scream the lyrics of Renegade at the top of your lungs. It's like experiencing the moon landing or something. You'll never forget it.
