We are in the perfect position to implode. ( Did I spell that correctly???) I think this loss will be hard to recover from, I don't see us going to the post season, I know I'll get flamed but I'm still gonna root my boys on.

there still 6-3 and with a win next week agains Cincy they will be fine.

the Ravens just have their number right now.

they will meet again and that game will be the only one that matters.

If you're going to get flamed I'm with you. We have to win out to even make it in as a 5 or 6 seed at this point. But as you said, I won't stop supporting my black and gold.

If we lose next week, we probably won't make the playoffs... and all of the Steelers haters will be saying "Super Bowl hangover" for the next year and a half.

**** I am so pissed off right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wow, they are only 9 games into the season and people are already jumping off cliffs.

they are 6-3. there is still a lot of football to be played. they will go either 6-1 or 5-2 down the stretch and that should get them into the playoffs.

different board same over reaction by people.

After cincy the rest of the schedule APPEARS to be easier than its been with a few exceptions.

We need to sweep cincy and cleveland.

the problem is that the AFC in general and AFC-N specifically is so damn close that we'll have to win out to make it on our own without help.
I think we can live with one less against an NFC team, but anything more will get ugly

You must work for the Post! Only a hack that writes for the Post would actually believe after you have blown a game in less than 2 minutes by letting a team with no offense to speak of, that it is over reaction.

Only 9 games? That is more than half the season. And since we have not beaten a good team yet, what makes anyone think that is going to happen given the creampuffs we have left on the schedule.

Bank it, the Steelers will not make the playoffs. They will not beat the Bengals twice, nor will they beat the Browns twice. At least not with this group of zeros.

The Offense needs to come up with so kind of battle plan. This game looked like they were lost. And for the D to let Flacco go 90 yrds. is crazy. I hope this was Gay's last game as a Steeler. He could not cover himself with a blanket.

As far as it goes, I'd be satisfied with making the playoffs. God knows we wont go anywhere when we get there with the way we looked tonight.

I think the Ravens yet again suffer a let down, while the Steelers get healthy and play some easier competition. I think it will come down to Pittsburgh having one game on them at the end and the Ravens have to try and make it three in a row which wont happen.

It's not the end of the world. The Stillers just have to take care of the Bengals and get healthy. The Ravens WILL drop at least a few more stinkers this season. I've watched all their games. They are Jekyll & Hyde. Unfortunately, they play us as Dr. Jekyll. :glare: Cinci, regardless of record, ALWAYS plays them tough, too.

I will say this. I don't see us beating the Bungles, I don't see us beating Kansas City in K. C., or beating San Fransisco at there place. That could be 3 or 4 more loses. That means we would be 10-6 or 9-7 and on the outside looking in. Our major problem is that we have lost three games to AFC teams. We can't win the division now and will be fight to get in with, the Jets, Bills, Pats, KC, San Diego, Cincinatti, and maybe Oakland. We might not make it.

if we win out, we will be 13-3. a sixth seed at 13-3. has never, and will never happen. all the other contenders are beatin each other down. 12-4 may get homefield in the AFC this year, maybe even 11-5. thats the beauty of this wacky NFL season, because of the stoopit labor strife this past off-season. again, steeler nation, lets just relax  and see how it all plays out. we are playing OK considering the CRUCIAL injuries we have been enduring. if we get all our starters back after the bye week, i like our chances. stay tuned. :D

I see us losing 2 more the rest of the way. We will probably sweep Cleveland, beat KC, St. Louis and split with Cincy. I'm thinking we will lose to San Fran too. That leaves us at 11-5 and probably the 5th or 6th seed. We will then lose in the 1st round and the Rooney's will give Tomlin a lifetime deal.
