So they're going to lose Dupree and Hargrave in the same offseason, yeah good luck with that.

I would keep him but he will not come cheap. Best definition of a contract year ever.

Most likely, I believe we will do just that.

Cannot keep all the good players. I do wonder how much Hargrave will ask though. I can easily see him testing the waters as his skill set does not mesh well with what Keith Butler's Defense asks him to do.

Ugh no first round pick, and not a lot of money to spend in free agency.

They both played 'balls in' their entire careers.

Jarvis was the non-almost. He was just pure garbage. Worst bust since Huey Richardson for the Steelers.

    1 Forced Fumble

    Bust Dupree 2019 (8 games):
    6.0 sacks
    9 QB hits
    2 Forced Fumbles

He should. There’s a good chance he gets paid more on the market than he does by us. Which sucks cuz I actually like Dupree more than most. He’s always been solid, just struggled with finishing. He just needed someone on the other side to be the “Batman”to his “Robin”. Now he has Watt and his game has elevated with all the attention rightfully going towards TJ.

I make him a hometown deal offer. Will he take a few million less to stay in Pittsburgh or does he want to cash out? If he only cares about big payday then good for him he earned it, thanks for some good years, and bye. Ola time.

He is having good games against bad teams, yesterday he got pushed out of the way and ran the QB down for a coverage sack. That is what he has done since he has been here, and look at the runs to his side, he loses contain 95% of the time. He had a good game yesterday but how many games does he disappear? I don't think he is going to get a lot on the open market, this is the most money he'll see in a single season. Next year he will leave and sign a 3 year deal worth 16 mil to 18 mil tops.

How many teams are running a 3-4 these days? The one advantage the steelers have is that the position bud plays isn't a fit for every team.

I agree it's likely that he's gone, but this is an ideal situation for him. Teams are consistently cheating towards TJ and relying on their Left tackle to handle bud 1v1. Without that cushion I don't see him earning a big guaranteed contract.

Ideally bud's contract would be performance based but in today's NFL he's likely to get some pretty big guaranteed money.

Bye Bud Wish you did this three years ago.

Huey Richardson was the Steelers #1 pick in 1991 and had a grand total of 2 tackles his rookie season. Bill Cowher took over the next season and wanted to cut him in training camp but they were able to trade him to the Redskins for a 7th round pick. He played 7 games for the Redskins and then they released him.
Can you imagine in this day and age trading your previous years #1 pick for a 7th rounder the next year? Chuck Noll's last #1 pick was so bad he retired.

And those two tackles were apparently in preseason. #1 pick and not a single stat. https://www.footballdb.com/players/huey-richardson-richahu01

Didn't the Redskins win the Super Bowl that year? Strange that Gibbs gave up a 7th rounder for a scrub.

    Hey BURGH43STEL!

Dupree should sign with them if the deal is reasonable. It does not have to come down to be with the highest bidder. However, they did stick with him, especially for that 5th year. I know, I know that sounds too much like right as well as the adage that if that was anyone of us at our jobs and got a better offer from another company (we all know the rest). Yes, he should test the market but also keep in mind the loyalty that they committed to him when they gave him year #5. STEELWINDS
