Hello everyone! Long time fan, first time poster here.

Echoing many of your posts- Mason Rudolph has zero pocket awareness (as posters have said previously). This has been a consistent problem. I'm concerned why nobody seems to be working with him on this (been happening for weeks)?! Or, they are and he just doesn't get it. Ben is much bigger than Rudolph, yet doesn't have troubles stepping up into the pocket or constantly bumping into his own players. Rudolph has had a LOT of ugly throws do to the sloppy pocket play (getting his arm hit because he's too close to lineman, rushing his throws, etc)!

The other thing is MR's lack of confidence in his other receivers ( besides the check down guys-today Smauels/ before Connor)and the play calling being overly predictable. Need to get Juju and the others the ball with some more creativity. Can even be in the running game (fly sweep) or even a gadget with Fly sweep pass. Something different. When your RB has 11 catches and has nearly all the targets as a check down receiver that's not good. The Colts aren't covering downfield that good!

 

Time for Mason to take the step forward to becoming the next Steelers starter or to become a (short) career back up...I’m not confident, but hopeful.

 

More blown coverages. All a QB has to do is wait and find the messed up coverage. Receivers wide open.

Nope. Conner is a fumble machine. Especially late in games. When a Steelers RB puts it on the ground in the 4th quarter, it’s called a “Conner”.

rudolph won't throw farther than 3 yards downfield. First play call will be a run for no gain or a small loss. book it

 

So by that logic Marino is a nobody.
