I am just saying that it looks like an entirly different d with him in there. Look at last night and the playoff game last year. he truly does make up for troys weaknesses. beside my definition of mvp is most valueable player not the best player. he seems to be the mvp of the defense

He doesn't make up for Troy's weaknesses, he lets Troy be a different player. Troy has to be extra careful when Mundy is in there and Peyton knew it. When Clark is behind Troy, Troy can play with alot more agressiveness.

After it was mentioned, I started checking Peyton everytime Troy moved in any direction at the line of scrimage. Yep, Peyton had his eye on Troy everytime and suddenly stepped back or changed his own moves.

Thats what i m saying. Lets face troy is weak in coverage. He ia better when he ggets improvise. That is what i mean by troys weaknesses. Troy is average as a saftey 15yards away from the line of scrmmage. Imo

To add after watching the NFL 'Sound Effects" of the playoff game...you heard Tebow crowing on the sideline about how he pump faked the safety. Telling isn't it?

After seeing Clark play a great game today and the defense looking much better, even without Troy and JH, I felt the need to find and revive this post!

Yup there were sound bites after the game on the NFL network and he (manning) mentioned Taz being everywhere and how he was watching him

I wouldn't say our defense played great; I think it was ok. I'm not confident in our DB's. Having Clark in the backfield really elevates our ability to cover. Having Troy there give us the oppontunity to create game changing plays. Troy and Ryan in the backfield give us a dominate safety core. Now we need solid DB coverage with a couple of picks.

I'm happy with teh line backers but I'll be hapier when Harrison returns. Our D-Line needs improvement big time.

Yeah it's getting downright annoying. Anytime one of our star players doesn't have some kind of madden like performance some folks on here jump all over them. Woolley is fat, Troy is fat, Ben was fat but now he's too skinny, Lebeau is too old, Timmons is a bust, Wallace is soft. Nothing surprises me anymore. With that rant out of the way I will say Ryan Clark is in my top three favorite steelers and played well today. Love the play when he smashed Holmes.

The Clark hit on Holmes was a win in itself ( too bad Clark got the worst of it, jammed his neck?)
