Agreed, but playing on an undefeated team helps Bosa immensely, especially since a storied franchise is reemerging. The others on the list are Offense, those stats pop out more than D stats (unless its sacks or int's). As a recent post suggested, the steelers won Monday and know one knows, the game was not talked about nationally. I will take a growing young talent who plays consistently over splash publicity any day.

They have Brian Burns from the Panthers who only has 15 tackles this season ranked ahead of Bush.

And Kyler Murray. Which is a joke. So that shouldn't be paid any mind to.. I'd go minshew 1 because of where he was drafted then bush

Bush's ranking probably has more to do with the Steelers 3-4 record than his performance to date.

Bosa is playing well on an undefeated team.... go figure.

We need consistent splash plays out of him. Well if TJ will give him a chance.

No I haven't. I see he has 4.5 sacks of his 15 tackles.

Just looking at the numbers doesn't tell the whole story.
He's disruptive, he creates opportunities for his team mates because he needs to be accounted for.
At this point he's had more of an impact than Devin Bush.(imo)

I am not sure how they rate players but using only stats doesn't work for me so much. I will say I'd rate a guy higher with 15 tackles for loss than 59 tackles after a 10 yard gain and more than his fair share of missed tackles. I am not sure how Bush stacks up with the other rookies or what their stats mean. I like Bush and I think he is doing great. Lets see what is sustainable down the road before crowning anyone half way into the season.

    It’s an offense driven league.

Pretty much why a quarterback always wins league MVP

Should have been 8 tackles but for his poor attempt on a Dolphin WR for TD.

Middle LB'ers always tend to rack up tackles. Outside LB'ers don't. Anyone using tackle numbers to compare players really doesn't understand the game of football very well.

Same thing with fumble recoveries, forced fumbles is where it is at.

Ok, specifically 4 of the first 4 on the list are on offense. Satisfied?

Yeah, I remember some years ago Willie Gay would have really high tackle numbers, in part because he was targeted by QBs and allowing catches.

Right now I see Bosa and Minshew as the clear #1 and #2. After that I think a case can be made for just about any ordering of #3 - #8. This is just one ESPN writer’s opinion, and while I would put Bush higher, I don’t think it’s a travesty that this writer put him at #8.
