I'd take him back. Wave compensation for the season (play for free) and turn over any money he receives from the Raiders or Pats to the Steelers.

I didn’t really see where AB actually said that he wants to come back.

 

I wouldn't mind bringing him back.. We can give him the role of that movie radio. He can be our radio

 

They sign him and i won't watch another game this year and I haven't missed a game in 14 years. I may sound like a baby but I don't care. That's where I stand.

To be completely and utterly honest, if he apologized and clearly made it up to Ben, I'd take him back. It is what it is to me. I'm a Steelers fan first and that means championships. If he can help give us one, which he can, I'm fine. We're paying him anyways. lol

You and I are probably in the minority here.

Wow, I can not believe I am even about to say this. Some may even call me somewhat hypocritical as I have posted here that morals and ethics do mean a lot to me when I selected my pro teams for life (Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins). Given that, and the state of affairs with our offense (which I do believe is moving in the right direction) I would "CONSIDER", even "ENTERTAIN", the thought of bringing both Bell and Brown back.

In the end probably not, as the "NEW" faces of the Steelers' "O" are beginning to take shape. I might even consider Mason over Ben to some extent. I just know what talent we had when those two plus Ben gave us. I know the headaches also with Brown and Bell (not Ben though) which play a major role in my opinion. However, Brown and Bell players only come around so often; maybe once in a generation.

I know, I know, we have not won a championship with them. However, we knew that with B,B, and B we were always in most games. Add in, that we FINALLY seem to have a legitimate "D" after all of these years.... FINALLY! It seems to me that we may just now have all the pieces altogether with Brown and Bell and next year Ben back with our new found "D".


GIVEN ALL OF THIS, BOTH BROWN AND BELL WOULD HAVE TO GO THROUGH COMPLETE AND THOROUGH PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATIONS TO BEGIN WITH.


I am torn. I want to see a competitive season. Not a rebuilding one. Like many here I live for Steeler Football once a year. I do not want to concede a season just for rebuilding sake. That is a "Big Waste" of my time from training camp to the end of the season. Then again, who is to say we are out of it yet. I do think that with the current roster, as is, we are competitive and it may be enough to keep my interest for the season. It still has for now. As anyone can see who is reading this, I am ping-ponging back and forth with this issue. I kind of feel like the image below.
