So either, the FO sucks at picking players or the coaching staff sucks at coaching. Or both.... :hehehe:

I wonder if Disco knows that they have treatments for premature thread-creation.

They are bad at 3rd down conversions but otherwise are pretty good across the board, especially when you realize that the offense has hung them out to dry a ton so far this year.

    Hey Disco 1981.

Personally, I like to use the word "Disgusting". However, it seems that Minkah has somewhat become that missing "X" factor to kind of meld this "D" together. There is something about this young man that really seems to have jump-started this "D". STEELWINDS

When it comes to our secondary it is both. The proof is in the pudding. Once again, wasn't this suppose to be our secondary guru's (AKA Tomlin) specialty? What a joke! Totally disgusting I tell you. He pulled the wool right over the Rooney's eyes on that one. STEELWINDS

It’s called having a true FS instead of the charade they were trying to pull off. “Our safeties are interchangeable”....my ass.

The center of the field seems to be the main area that opposing QB's are shredding us with easy completions.

Coverage did not look as tight as it has in the past few games, especially 10 to 12 yards down the middle this seems to be our weak spot for way too long.

I am tired of waiting for Tomlin to fix it, down 14 -0 to the worst team in the league and he stands there looking cool. Never see him talking to players or getting involved. He must do his best coaching off camera I guess.

Tomlin's best coaching was done in 2002.

    You know it Steeldeal.

Tomlin and company really are not competent at much it would seem. There are still a few Tomlin supporters here and that is fine. I have tried to remain objective about his performance over the years; even optimistic. I was and now I am not in his camp anymore. He brings minimal "coaching" ability to the table. That would be okay, to a degree, if he was surrounded by a competent OC and DC however he is not as those two have their shortcomings as well.

This is the same old ground that many of us keep running over each day. Until Tomlin's boat finally sails off we are stuck with him. The big question from his supporters is "Well who then?" I do not have that answer. I admit that. Some on this board have a better perspective than I regarding his replacement. What I do know is that up to this point, right here, right now, the Steelers should part ways with him and the OC and DC as well. I do not have a major issue of mid-season replacing. I know it would cause some disruption and maybe at the end of the season would be better. We need to be focused with no more distractions as it is. For one only knows we have had enough of them given this past year.

As a teacher, I always strive to improve upon my performance. When I implement a lesson plan, I go back at the end of the day and self-reflect, and self-assess, its strengths and shortcomings. I also collaborate with colleagues when need be for additional feedback. I can not say what Tomlin and his crew do. However, the optics are not good from what I have witnessed over the years. Maybe he is trying to improve upon his performance. Maybe he needs better support personnel in this process which seems obvious. Some people are also to stubborn, or oblivious, to seek change/improvement when it is obvious. I would hope that he and the other administrators do. Otherwise he and his staff will remain stuck in neutral, as it seems, and really not make much progress as they move forward. STEELWINDS

MT doesn't coach, he manages. Managers delegates functional areas within an organization so that is why he is a spectator on the sidelines looking for a good spot to watch the jumbo tron to see what is going on. He seems to give the DC, OC, and STC total control on running their respective areas of the game. I would love to sit in on game preparation/ strategy meetings to see what in fact they are doing if they even have these meetings. The fact is, he definitely is not engaged in the game as most of the HC's of any team of any level of football. Maybe he is a genius and its just invisible to recognize.

I don't buy the 'hybred' player either. At DB, LB or DL.

This D has the potential to be elite. What is sickening is that their coach prepares for opposing players who aren't on the roster.

If lousy is the way you wish to describe MT, I'll buy that. Thanks.
