Doc on sideline said clavicle, that’s not good, would assume it’s season ending.

Tomlin saying initial diagnosis is ac joint not clavicle but they will evaluate it.

Seems a bit premature to jump to that conclusion. I mean, you could be right, but it didn't appear to be season ending to me. I did believe that Mason Rudolph needed paddles to get off the field during the Ravens game, so what do I know.

There was no reason for him to be in the game. Typical Tomlin doing Tomlin things. Throw Switzer back there. Anybody, I don't care. We got that cushy 13 point lead on the winless team for a reason.

Good news is Samuels should be ready to go next week and hopefully the Snell injury isn’t serious. But yea Conner getting injured in garbage time there is very frustrating.

I hope they don't trade their 2nd rounder for a rb before the deadline tomorrow.

I was going to say I know that the adrenaline was flowing but a broken clavicle he would be screaming no? Plus they would immobilize the arm wouldn't they?

Getting Samuels back could help, but we are finally seeing why Conner is so important to the offense lately. They finally had all the pieces of their running game out there tonight with Nix back and McDonald healthy. This was something they could build on with the running game, but they need Conner's physical presence out there.

I remember Ben in ‘05 (I think) and Harrison in another season getting taken off the field on stretchers. Both returned within a few weeks, if my memory serves me correctly.

Conner is such an enigma for me. He gives 100% each play...I just don’t think his body can take the pounding that style of play entails.

If he does miss extended time, let’s see what Samuels has. This kid has major upside IMO, if used correctly.

Read a report that icing soft tissue injuries like sprains, is now considered counterproductive.

The original researcher was the one that's at the lead for reversing the recommendation. Something about slowing down the rush of repair proteins to the injured area.

They may not have a choice, depending on Snell's injury.

I thought immediately dislocated shoulder just the way he was holding his arm .. He did go down on that shoulder pretty hard.

It's probable that he hurt it when he dove for the end-zone earlier and played through until that last hit.

exactly what i was saying. Dumbass decision!

in his defense, he came down pretty much square on his shoulder with a defender laying directly on top of him. I think just about anyone could end up hurt from that kinda force

Im not going to blame Tomlin for this one. Reality is it was a two score game and both Samuels and Snell are out. There is a comfort level in having Conner out there, as opposed to Tre Edmunds.

I linked a article in the game thread about the RB coach being comfortable with Edmunds. He gets paid to prepare the RBs. So either the coach isn’t doing his job or they need to put a RB on the roster they trust. You’re asking a NFL back to take a hand off and protect the football. So now if Conner and Snell can’t go next week, they gonna trust Edmunds for a couple carries to spell Samuels?

Sure they will, if they have to. Lets wait and see the extent of Conners injury. Guys get hurt in this league. It is unfortunate that it happened with the game in hand. All I am saying is that I don't think it was an egregious error on Tomlins part, the way its being made out to be. The game was in hand, but was within two scores. Your trying to run the clock out. Regardless of what the RB coach said about Edmunds, your confidence in James Conner is certainly higher than that of your 4th string RB. It sucks that it happened, but I wont fault Tomlin for it.

Did I just stick up for Tomlin? Whats happening to me?

Ac joint is connected to clavicle... If it is a grade 3-4 ac joint separation then the tendons snapped then there is nothing connected to clavicle.... This would be season ending. lets hope it is not. I am guessing it is a 1 or a 2 grade cause he did get up and walk off field without much sagging..... When I had my grade 4 I layed on the ground for like 10 minutes screaming like a pussy. When i had my grade 2 i got right up but knew something was not right........ Grade 2 he will still be out 3-4 weeks........
