    Just a suggestion.

Maybe after the next lose (and any thereafter) we can set up an Official "Blame Someone, Fire Someone" Thread. Sorta like the "Official Gameday" Thread. It will at least contain the ranting discussions.

This is a great idea. Something we all can look forward to. While we're at it, lets start a "What do we do with the #1 overall pick in the 2013 draft?" thread. I'm getting goose bumps just thinking about that! :clapping:

Thanks, I was hoping it was funny....but sadly, I'm not really laughing.

Here is the mantra of the Steelers. It is not "One for the Thumb" any longer, but instead, it is, "Give it time, he's new." Or, my all time favorite, "He's a project!"

Why must we give him time? My job does not afford me time. I am expected to do a good job day one, aren't you? Why is it that we continually accept mediocrity? Would you accept it if your bank deducted money from your account that you did not spend, or if it sent out a bank statement that was not correct? I think you would search for another bank. Likewise, we all to often accept averageness, and in fact we champion it.

Now, take Timmons, please take him. He was labeled a project from day one, and now it is long past day one and this guy continues to not impress and underachieve. Did he even play last night? So, how long do we hold on to projects? Don't even get me started on the O-Line and the projects.

This is basically the only profession where averageness is rewarded. If we performed at our jobs like these clowns did last night, we would be fired. But hey, it's the Steelers and the NFL. Give it time, he's a project. Please keep that in mind the next time your MD errors in your diagnosis or surgery.

Great suggestion. We'll start doing this. Win or lose, there's no need to start a new thread when a similar one exists.

To sum it up, with Sunday nights game you could clearly see an offensive gameplan in place. While some are going to make ridiculous posts about firing Haley or at the least bashing him after one game, it was as clear as a blue sky that our offense had a gameplan in place. Execution was a big problem and it's not that far fetched to think poor execution could happen after the first game of the season. On the other hand, with BA there was NEVER a clear gameplan in place....period.

I didn't do a statistical analysis, but I remember the Steelers having consistently solid opening drives with Arians.

I liked the discipline that Roethlisberger showed to open the game on Sunday also. Drop back and throw or dump if off. Then he went back to trying to jam it in to a receiver without working through his progressions and extending the play. Though we appear to be cursed, I think at least some of our offensive line injuries are due to the additional stress of blocking for Roethlisberger.

I would love to see Haley get him to be more disciplined to exploit our talented young wide receivers.

I also wouldn't read too much into the loss against the Broncos. Manning with a solid defense is going to be trouble for everyone.

Manning looked damn good didn't he? I think he took most people by surprise with how well he looked tbh. One thing I think some folks forgot to take into account was that his mind was never affected by his injuries. The guy is one of if not the smartest players on the field at all times. He knew exactly when to audible out of a play and which play to call. That's going to be hard for anyone to defeat, especially playing in Denver.

If Porter doesn't jump the route and Ben marches down the field and scores the winning TD, Haley would be the greatest OC in the League. I thought the offensive game plan looked good, it was weird not seeing out defense out there for 3/4 of the game.

Yes, Manning looked damn good. The Broncos could jump from averaging 19 points per game last year to 30 this year.

    Someone above mentioned project players.

Why can't te Steelers find more players that can play right away, rather than projects? Castro would have started sure, but nobody else from this recent draft.

Then you have the Patriots who have three defensive rookies starting, and each one made impact plays this week.

How many impact plays has Ziggy made? Hayward? Worlids? Timmons?
