The Giants have released Tuzar Skipper

Do we know Chickillo won't be present for awhile? All I could find from the Steelers was 'wait and see'.

 

He should pay less attention to his heart, and more to his paycheck.

 

I checked his stats on Yahoo sports. He only played in the Oct 6th game regular season. He had good preseason stats.

 

That's who we should have signed instead of getting skipper back.

 

I “think” if claimed off waivers he has to go to the 53 roster..... but if he goes unclaimed he’s free to sign with anyone including the giants on the PS

This happens every year and some people never learn. Don't freak out about these bottom of the roster cuts until the cut actually does something on another team. Usually they aren't even picked up. When they are they are almost always available again at some point. The unnecessary angst wasted on guys like Skipper is crazy. That said, pick him up and cut Chick. Harrison was cut multiple times and eventually stuck.

Not a good look and I can see the NFL suspending him pending the charges. And who knows if he might be released. So Wait and See is all that Colbert would say but Chickillo he is not with the team at this time.

Reports I've seen have said for first timers it can be as many as 6 games. If that's the case the team should just cut their losses and bring in anyone they can get.

Pretty much standard for a guy like that. Rookie min, or PS pay. I doubt anyone will flash millions at this point for the 'heir apparent' Deebo 2..or is that 3? (please note sarcasm)

 

Butler was complaining during training camp that he wished Skipper would put in the effort at practice that he does in the games. Maybe he showed the same lack of effort at the Giants practices that he did with the Steelers and that is why they let him go also.

 

Butler is a legend in his own mind.

This seems like a no brainers. Get skipper for cheap on the P.S. Why don't they see this?
