Oh no. Honestly, the injuries have become ridiculous. How much can you overcome in one season

 

I trust Mort but that is a misleading report. It is short on details and long on fear. I consider it a foregone conclusion that he is lost for the season but that report is as generic as rapaport's first report.

outstanding DL Stephon Tuitt did tear pectoral and will need surgery, out for year, per sources. No longer a “fear” but reality. Another huge setback for team.

This is a huge loss. He was freaking beast this year.

Very often injured player. He's had a season ending or an injury effect him almost every year.

I feel for him, and amazing player when healthy.

Probably means Buggs starts getting a helmet on game days.

I understand this will come off as draconian. Believe me though, I really despise the fact the same. Here is the reality though.


Cannot say I am surprised.


Out of the 96 total games dating back to his 2014 Rookie Season, Tuitt will have missed missed 20 now in total. This is not even accouting for the fact that many of his injuries were based on his elbow/shoulder. An unfortunate setback for certain.



That said, it is as I said in the Game Day Thread. A point of emphasis I was hoping to avoid with Stephon. He is "Aaron Smith 2.0". Great.... but only for so long.



Side note: I wonder if this pushes up the need to acquire an Interior Defensive Lineman in 2020 even more.

 

You should probably change the thread title to "Tuitt out for the year" So people can find out the bad news and start making different plans for upcoming Sundays.
