Just heard Steve Nelson ruled out for the Charger game.
This is not the news I was wanting to hear .I think steve is a real important piece of this defense, and I was hoping they could continue to mesh together with all hands on deck for the defense.
Big loss for us.In steps you know who 25!

I would not worry about it.......... this secondary is much better this year cause we have 2 potential probowlers and edmunds looks like he is better this year..........

With a 1-4 team, starting what essentially is their number 4 QB. with a depleted RB's, WR's TE's. No need to worry? I tend not to worry except when Tomlin reaches for the red flag, at this point he ought to just throw the red flag in and give this team 2 weeks to heal up, lol.

Lets hope Burns shocks us all and balls out, maybe he has been ignoring the coaches and listening to Haden and Nelson and Minka.

Anybody who watched tonight knows it is extremely important for Nelson to return and Haden to be healthy enough to go in two weeks. Burns is awful.

Different variables. Also he was the #1 corner over there and I believe Haden is #1. We don’t have any true shutdown corner like Peterson or Ramsey

I think its our coaching or lack of coaching. Gay sucked for years then left for a year or two and came back better than he was before he left.

Nelson has played well for the team. Some people are just so negative towards anything this team does.

Nelson has plugged a major hole in our defense. One of our few fa to pan out lately.

Steven Nelson is easily one of the best FA pick ups Kevin Colbert has found in some time thus far. Dude can flat out play the position and that is something that has been severely lacking opposite Joe Haden. Love the consistency he brings to the secondary with Joe Haden. Add the fact he is only 26 and, not only do we have an immediate capable corner but a future plan as well.

Assuming Justin Layne develops into the quality future starter many of us expect him to be and Pittsburgh has literally solved their biggest issue since the start of the decade. Have Nelson lockdown one end and Layne the other. Sutton in the slot and Terrell and Minkah as the safeties.

A rock solid secondary I would say.
