Tom,in singing the praises of Barron?

Early in the game Sunday, Ian Eagle or Dan Fouts said that in their meetings with Tomlin that he was singing the praises of Mark Barron.....did you guys hear this?

I know that fans sometimes question the actions of coaches and I know that occasionally the coach knows more than your typical fan but this blew my mind! What the hell can Tomlin see that would have him singing praises for a guy who doesn't hustle, repeatedly gets caught out of position, and often gets flagged at the worst possible time because he held his receiver?

 

He has played better then most give him credit for. I agree with MT on this one.

 

I cant believe that he can not see the loafing that Barron has done early in the season as much WATCHING he does. Its really hard to remember all players but I can't think of one I've seen be as lazy as Mark Barron.

 

Coaches rarely ever say anything extremely negative about players in the media. The criticisms typically happen behind scenes during film review. Players are people. Who would want to play for a coach that criticized players in the media? I doubt that coach would be employed very long. Use good sense people.

I heard that during the broadcast too, and it definitely caught my attention. Barron has been better lately, but to sing his praises? That's alarming. Maybe he's finally settling into the defense and we can expect better things going forward.... Because the first few games, IMO, he was terrible.

 

He was better in the last two games and I'd certainly rather see him on the field than Matakevich, but I'm not sure why anybody would be singing his praises.

 

He can't cover receivers,

 

I agree he was pretty bad early on......pretty bad.

I'd imagine going from a Wade Phillips coached defense to Butler telling him to daggum cover dem civers.

 

Barron pulls up quite a bit on the field, not always giving 100%. Maybe he is injured? Saw McDonald out there playing with one arm last week.

He doesn't seem to want to use his left arm. Out there blocking on the goal-line plunge with just one arm.

Ball in the wrong arm. This is used in meetings at the Steelers facility for rbs and receivers. They have the full set. The hamburgler will get that from you every time if you are not careful. I heard mt tell them that during team meetings. Sherman added be extra careful when you have the mcrib, it has sauce. so it's not like the coaching is not doing their job.

 

Wait.....I thought you lived at the facility or were being held there.
