Steelers tied with cowboys in red zone defense at 35.7%

    1. Patriots
    2. San Fran
    3. Dallas/Pittsburgh

    Just a fun fact lol

To be fair, the 49ers playing hot potato with the football in the red zone helped this number. But it’s still a positive.

While he was/is elusive, he gained 22 yds on 6 take offs - with a 15 yd long run he averaged 1 yd per scramble on the other 5 carries. That isn't why Steelers lost.

Lots of people in here way too optimistic. I mean Blake Bortles can put up 40 plus points on this team. Jackson WILL look great in this game regardless if he is great or not.

Bortles wouldn't put up 40 points on this current defense, he certainly didn't last season when they played.

He also put up 30 on the Pats, despite the Jaguars being -1 in TO. (Against the Steelers they were +2.) That didn't tarnish what people thought about NE's defense last year.

I have a feeling that sooner than later, someone is going to flatten Lamar Jackson and inflict a serious injury on him. He simply gets tackled way too much for a QB, and his coach treats him like a fullback. And like most every fullback, there is a cart waiting for him in the future.

The sad thing is that I think he is really good enough to become a strong pocket passer.

Heinz I would expect you to be more positive about the Steelers losing.

I wonder how Vince will be used and how much. Will they be breaking up two guys starting to get their act together playing together. Speed and change of direction ability will help against jackson. Vince running up into the wrong gap will not.

Bush, Vince, Barron and Watt, Vince gives us some beef up front to counter Ingram.

I know we have different personnel but I would do exactly
what San Diego did to him last year. He had no clue how to read defenses.
Keep a spy on him all game and play press man coverage I think we have
a chance in containing him. He is an excellent runner. Barry Sanders like.

Chargers can run & have the best slot receiver in the league...lol

Ravens defense has been bad lately too.
