Exactly. We complain about not being team specific in our game planning but tonight we did just that. Next week a few more wrinkles....

    The Bengals are really horrible.

Dalton looked like he's packed it in already. There was the one sack where afterwards he just sort of tossed the ball away in total disgust.

But hey, you can only play who the schedule puts in front of you and in the NFL every opponent is a potential L if you're not careful.

That bastard cost me my Under bet of the longest FG made 47.5 yards. At least I won my Conner bet of being the first player in the game to score a TD. +600 odds :D

Ravens opened yesterday as 4.5 favorites over the Steelers. That sounds about right.

Yep, it was only the Bungles.

The defense played great, but the 0-line on the Bungles was the worst I have ever seen.

The offense made changes to the playbook. That is the big story.

Will the offense produce against the Ratbirds? If we score 20+ points against them it would be a huge step forward.

Will the defense do anywhere near as good against the Ratbirds?

Bottom line is this year we want to see both Mason and the defense develop in a forward progression. In that regard, we got the first step forward in a long journey last night. Nothing is proven yet.

Winning the game was HUGE for me..... it told me that at least.... we aren't Bengal Bad. I'll take the win. Big take away for me.... defense played very good, in the face of Dalton all night.

Trust us Clive, I wasn't even drinking and I saw it. I tried retrieving some after game shots of her and the talking heads but couldn't find any. If you want to categorize her with Sasquatch that's your business. Until then my friend, be afraid; be very afraid! :lolol:

PS: Just thought of something - it may have been an early Halloween getup, you know, now that we're rolling into October?

The GDT's first umteenth pages says otherwise about how this was a good game. Many posts wanted coaches fired yesterday.

Why did it take so long to get anything going? Please review GDT's first 10 pages. My assessment of those pages is that it isn't what you think it was.

I was going through the GDT yesterday, as it took a while for me to catch up on the game, and also noticed how hostile the first ten pages or so were.

It struck me that what you saw was some ingrained attitudes (1 yard gain = "Tomlin is dumb, fire everyone"), and one or two saying they hoped we lost so that the coaches were fired.

Watching the game, it took until the 2nd quarter for us to start putting points on the board, but I think we looked much the better team in the first. Let's not forget the only points the Bengals got came from a fumble deep in our own territory. It took a long time because they were going for a short yardage game. The third quarter we clamped down, which is usually when we're accused of not making adjustments.

I've rewatched games in the past that we dominated in the scoreline, and often we don't do a lot for the first part of the game. That's just football.

Well I still want us to clean house just not in season, imo Tomlin has to go. We have talent on this team and there is no reason why we didn't make the playoffs last year and why we didn't win a game until week 4 this year.
